Eh... ever since last year, I'm officially never doing Black Friday ever again.

I was on crutches at the time, and stupid me caved in to what dickface (my ex) wanted so I went, even though I told him I'm on crutches and I have no use of shopping at midnight.

So I eventually went, and I passed out when I got to the cash register because the store was so damn hot. I smacked the back of my head on a metal pipe and had to be rushed to the hospital.


Yeah, I'm gonna say, I don't see the point of Black Friday at all. But I did end up getting a nice shirt at the end of it.

Yeah, Black Friday in the US is insane. Because of the lengths people will go to for a cheaper price on anything, even Canadian stores are starting to embrace it... Thankfully, because we have no holidays around that time of year (no days off on Thursday and Friday), there are a much smaller number of people losing their minds to shopping in stores at ungodly hours, and with that, the insanity is manageable, and there are no deaths.

Grabbed a couple DVD's and a half price 12 month PS+ membership.

First off, don't use the word swag. I'll think awful things of you.

For me, not having to work in retail for Black Friday was enough of a blessing.

Don't worry, I'm reclaiming the word by referring to its original meaning (stuff), not the shortened version of "swagger." Christ, the day I start using that phrase in that idiotic context, as well as its related terms "yolo" and whatever else this generation will throw to us, I'll fly out to NY to visit you, we'll share a pint and some green, then you can bash my head in with Thor's Hammer. Sound good?

I had to work, and it definitely sucked. At least I worked my normal shift instead of having to work the actual event.

I won't do Black friday shopping, or even holiday shopping in the stores any more, unless I absolutely have too. I just do it online. Most retails offer the same prices, plus even offer free shipping. Why get trampled fighting people over things?

I honestly didn't get myself anything this year, but I was debating on grabbing a PSN+ subscription since there seems to be some good deals on them right now.

I think last year i grabbed some games that where marked down to a good price and, not sure if it was last year or the year before i grabbed the Lord of the Rings Trilogy on Blu-ray because it was marked down to like $40 for the holiday and it just came out, like a few weeks prior.

Man that is harsh. I never was a fan of Black Friday as well. that "swag" nonsense is for the birds.

I don't do Black Friday because of the craziness but mostly because I'm broke as hell.

Where the hell did this 'Black Friday' so-called-tradition come from? I've never heard of it before last week! (except as a reference to a local holiday which was the day after the illuminated carnival in my town, until the day of the carnival was changed from thurs to fri some years previous.)
