Am I the only person who thinks this movie looks retarded? You can't make a movie off of Resident Evil because if you did it right you will only have one star in the movie. And when you make a movie about zombies the humans should be getting their asses kicked because when everyone in the movie is a matrix wanna be commando the movie is corny. Does anyone agree with me on this?

Yup. I do agree. The first one was pretty shitty too, because they canned Romero (who had a much better script and it was more like the game) for the BS the we got. The only plus I see in this movie is the inclusions of S.T.A.R.S. of Nemesis. But following the previous movie, Nemesis will die in the lamest way possible.

This movie looks absolutely terrible, almost an insult to the Resident Evil/Biohazard series. It's like Hollywood is intentionally trying to make fun of the games.

I'll check out the movie when it comes out. If it sucks, it sucks. Most video game to movie movies stink anyways.

I totally agree. The teaser clips for the Nemisis look like crap. The movie also looks like a complete depature from the game. The STARS members, and more of the different types of monsters look like the only good thing about this movie. RE is and always will be about horror, NOT ACTION. The movie looks way to action orientated. The first one was decent, but this just looks like crap.

Maybe Sony is intentinally trying to kill the series since they lost it to Nintendo?! I think that every RE fan should email Sony (or maybe Capcom would be better), or start a petintion to get Sony to scrap the movie, and save the series from being humiliated by this crap of a movie that they slapped the RE name onto.

Umbrella seals off the city because the viris is spreading too fast. STARS members who went back into the Hive to check on something get trapped in the city. Reveals that Alice(Jolivich from the first film) who used to work for umbrella, and while in the hospital was genitically enhanced (to fight zombies, the nemisis, and run from umbrella helecopters, especially run vertically down the side of a sky scapter to dodge a missle.) Also shows Lickers, and the Nemisis. Shows a teaser shot of the side of the Nemisis's face just before he fires a missle from a rocket launcher.

well it looks like the movie will be pretty good... im a huge RE fan and it bothers me how they got most of this set up in the movie... i mean i like the whole quarenteen the city and all that but jeez, did they have to make it a complete action movie, i mean theres no suspense to this trailer at all, it looks like a terminator vs. Biogentic freaks rather RE... RE is about survival horror, about expecting the unexpected, not watching stunt men do slow motion flips off a wall while firing 2 pistols, killing a few zombies, its about running from the zombies and trying to figure out an escape plan... im not a big fan of Andersons directing anyways, he never puts scenes in that make a movie suspensefull his is always about doing crazy stunts and complete action... He does not need to be making horror movies, he needs to me making MK like movies...

I know I'm going to end up watching the movie, and for now I'm 50/50 on my opinion on this flick. I'm with Ghaleon on the fact that the movie is 80% action, 10% story, and 0% suspense. I actually would have liked an under the radar type movie series for Resident Evil, because I always felt that the series had an indy flick kind of mood. Also, would it have been so dificult to do the series some real justice and start from the REAL beginning (I'm refering to RE 0 and RE 1). I don't mind the Alice charecter, but to me she just seems like a waste of time to just introduce Nemesis (my second least favorite villian). To me Nemesis is just like a Jason Vorhees Tygrant: big, dumb, slow, and deadly. I would have loved to see Wesker, Berkin, and Dr. Marcus. Plus, and at the risk of sounding sexist, why arn't there any strong male leads?? Carlos in the games was a latin Cassanova stereotype, and Matt in the first flick was a bit on the pussy side. Where are Chris Redfeild, Barry Burton, Leon Kennedy, and Billy Cohen? I never looked as the game series being dominated by a single sex; on the contrary I always saw it as a 50-50 deal. Oh well, I guess I can't argue with the oldest rule in the book: sex sells.

Exactly SOS... Wesker is one of my all time fav villains and when i first heard about the frist RE movie coming out i couldnt wait cause i thought Wesker would be in it, instead they said they wanted to make a prequel with new characters... and whats up with Dr. Ashford being in this one??? for those who have played code veronica u know y im questioning this... I wish they would have put Billy Cohen in one of the movies so we could find out what the hell happened to him...

It always was, actually. RE0 has Rebecca and Billy, RE1 had Jill and Chris, RE2 has Leon and Claire, RE3 had Jill, RE:CVX had Claire and Chris, and RE4 will have Leon. Dead even.
