I could be wrong, but I thought she did that on purpose to help symbolize her career *she was the face for a lot of things back in her day. She's one of the reasons I looovveee pepsi lol*
There is no higher artistic expression here. This is product placement base and simple with the coating of contemporary designs and the false pretext of her comeback being anything more than an attempt to rehash.
Because there isn't an atom of originality in that video.

Why would I bother to do that?
Am I the only one who wishes to see a decent pop music video that dopes not include glorification of the sluttification process in media? I mean Alanis Morrissette style substance, not bootylicious shit by some post-teen painted like a 20 something jiggling around like a mad puppet with zero taste and clothing.
Somewhere along the lines sensuality transformed into Flesh-above-all. And frankly these women look anything but beautyful. Easily, these women become flat-out fugly.

I think we're watching completely different videos because what you just described sounds nothing like what I just watched lol. Honestly, I was really surprised to see a Britney Spears thread in a Mortal Kombat site, it made me all happy inside :). I also kinda expected a lot of hate because that's what usually comes, and I refuse to argue with it. In my many many years of defending Britney, I've learned that I'll never sway anyone into liking her *if they flat out hate her* and no one is going to sway me to dislike her, no matter how crazy she gets lol. But yeah, this is an awesome video, I like it a lot, and Britney is beautiful.

Very true. Even if Britney were to change her style according to what all her haters want, they would still not be content with her and find countless flaws in her, her music, her appearance, her everything... Because that's what haters do. They're incapable of liking someone whom they hate by default.

Umm....
Do not mistake this for hate. I don't like her music, true, but that does not warrant hate. I simply do not approve of her style, and find her repertoire so far lacking in anything that would be new or something that would personally make me interested in her music.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I don't find her attractive, and under all that makeup is still music biz pretentiousness. I don't hate her, I feel sorry for her, and for most of the stars so far.
MQS, bother to write grammatically correct sentences, then perhaps I would be able to get what you mean. not everyone is genetically precoded with the instinctive subtle connotations of another culture.

So, of the entire quote, you point out one error, seems kinda trollish to me. But if you find Britney 'lacking', then why are you even in this thread? Did you really think this video was going to make you say "Hmmm, I think I really like Britney now!" or that you were going to make us Britney fans see the light? I'm not trying to be rude, I really am curious.

That might be expected if she was still going through her breakdown, but the past 2 or 3 years have shown that she's back on her feet again and has regained her senses. She is healthy now and taking charge of her life. That calls for a round of applause, not pity.
People get the false impression that the music industry exploits her and that all her fame and success gives her a false, superficial sense of accomplishment and fulfillment, but what her non-fans don't know is that she got herself into this job and has a great passion for it. She even said that her only 2 treasures in life are her children and her career.
So if she appears unhappy and it's obvious that she's trying to hide it, it's not because of her job. Knowing the way she is after studying her every move, it's usually because the media turns her into a 24/7 circus monkey on stage from which they refuse to let her step down even after burning out, or because she is romantically frustrated - The latter being the one that strikes her the hardest, imo, judging by the fact that her breakdown was incited by a break-up.

Pointing out something that is bad, or is bad in my or your perception is not trolling. Constructive criticism, advice, intelligence is based on recogniotion. I do not meander about, neither should anzone. If there is an error point it out. You must not spare anyone on the basis that it might hurt his confort. Fuck confort plain and simple. Personal development comes through unpleasant stuff.
Trolling is, for example if I refer continuously to you as a shemale, if you have a feminine look despite being male. And nag you wreith it, that is for example trolling. Really, it is quite hard to define... what is important that I am not a big fan of conforting people: reassuring, disagreing yes, but I do not sugarcoat it because you are a fatty, and you might eat that up too... :)
Also, I cannot really have an opinion over something I have not seen. Therefore I had to get in here to watch the video and browse through what people said about it.

Grammatically correct sentences? Um, I misspelled the word "ever".
What is it with you? Are we not allowed to joke around with you anymore?
This is what I get for trying to make small conversation.
