Alright so first off, I'm sorry I'm not cool enough to make it clickable like you guys... anyone can help? Also here are a few things worth mentioning:

1. First of all, what an awesome and utterly interesting thread... it revived the long-lost pokéfan dormant deep within me loll.... I might buy the recent game, but I'd need to get a new game boy.... because game boy color and game boy advance are things of the past I guess loll

2. I have played only blue, red, yellow, silver, crystal, sapphire and leaf green. Although I read about newer generations, I have not played them... so for the last generations I made choices based on which one I would've picked, etc... Also as a kid, my cousin always had the opposite version so we would just rade you know.

2. There are lots of ties, like for example = I picked Ivysaur and Wartortle, because I'd rather keep them in their second form and I wanted to try them all, anyway I might have picked Bulbasaur and Bulbasaur like five times each and Charmander just three times maybe ? Whenever I had a Charizard I would just use it because he could use Cut, Fly, Strength and Flash -____- Fire breathing dragons are too ordinary for me... although I LOVE Charizard in SSB Brawl ♥♥♥ But that's different... you only get to pick a handful of pokemon in SSBros =P

3. I'd say SLOWBRO cause bitch he's fabulous ! Ever since the first generation came out, I was a huge Vulpix, Meowth and Eevee fan; this is why I ALWAYS have a Ninetales, a Persian and either Vaporeon, Jolteon, Espeon or Umbreon in every one of my games (Flareon less often because I use Ninetales instead, but I used to breed dozens of Eeveelutions anyway. As a matter of fact, my silver team is Eevee and all five of his evolutions) Then came Togetic, who was an instant fav as Togepi. Idk why, it's the only baby pokemon I ever liked. Also, I was a huge bird pokemon fan, always, ALWAYS, had at least one bird in my team. That sums it up for my fav pokemons.

4. I don't hate any type, it's just that except Scyther and Ledian, no bug type was ever one of my favorites. It's probably the type I use the least often.I remember vaguely liking Venomoth and Heracross at some point... but meh.

5. My fav types are Pure Normal and Dual Flying. I also like Normal/Flying a lot. I guess that's a given... That was for those who would comment my picture saying = You chose Pidgeotto to represent the flying type but only Tornadus is a pure flying type blablabla... anyway

6. Even though I had to pick fav starters for every versions, my ''true'' starter was always one of the first birds you could get (ex: Pidgey, Spearow, Hoothoot, Wingull...)

I've actually recently grown quite fond of Bug-type pokemon, mainly those of the 5th generation.

I've noticed they are quite exceptional when it comes to Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense, and they also have some of the hardest hitting moves in the games (excluding the obvious), like X-Scissors, Bug Buzz, and Silver Wind.

My favourite bugs are the ones that are metal, like Scizor of Genesect.

Don't forget about U-Turn, that move is absolutely invaluable.

That move annoys the hell out of me, actually. lol

I mean, it is a good move, but I hate it when pokemon hit hard then switch out. Pussies!

They need to stop the Fire starter pokemon to end its final evolution with Fire/Fighting... Too many now... Blaziken, Infernape, and Emboar. They need to mix it with some other type.

Alright so out of nostalgia I bought Soul Silver along with a 3DS about a week ago.

I chose only my classic favs so that my team reminisce me of old days lolll..

- Slowbro (only need to level it up so he learns his remaining moves)

- Togekiss (is still a Togetic but has 3/4 of his final moves already. Will get Air Slash when I'll find the stone to evolve it)

- Persian (almost learned all his moves)

- Ninetales (it is still a Vulpix but I only need a firestone since he got all his moves already)

- Espeon (only need to level it up so he learns his remaining moves)

- Ho-Oh (will get it at lvl.70 at the end of the game, I will use my Pidgeot to fly meanwhile)

Silver was my fav game back in the days and I must admit that Soul Silver's an amazing game.

A better plan would be to just stop mixing types entirely with starters. Leave them alone as what they are.

They need to redo the types all together.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't mind having a ghost-type starter.
