Most Marley fans aren't really rasta. Marley is mainstream as hell. Then again, most real rasta wouldn't vote for either one, probably.

Bush - I don't know if people really understand what Kerry's about.

He SUPPORTED the war on terror, and has repeatedly said he is NOT pulling out. He voted 350 times in his career to raise taxes. This would be fine, except for 2 little problems:

When he voted to send to send the soldiers to Iraq, he voted against their funding. (Actually he voted for it, before voting against it, whatever that means.) What's the point of higher taxes if our troops aren't going to see any of that money?

Almost as disturbing, or more disturbing, is the fact that as a Senator, he has missed 2/3 of all votes and has the WORST record for voting in our country's history. What does he do, just show up on days when they vote to raise taxes?

Pretty bad - I agree with Kerry on the War on Terror, (as I agree with Bush), but none of Kerry's other policies make any sense.

I think we perfectly understand what Kerry is about. He is a possible fuck up. But, I'd rather gamble with a new president than one that I already hate. Of course, there's always a chance that Kerry could fuck things up worse than Bush did (IMO, obviously).

As for Kerry changing his mind on so many things, it's been taken out of context so much it's ridiculous.

There are always several versions of a bill to be passed. Sometimes Kerry will agree or disagree with the first version of a proposed bill and later change his stance as the bill changes. The first version of the bill to get more funding for soldiers drew money from the oil in the country we were putting our money in, Iraq. He voted for this. What he didn't vote for, though, was the revised version of this bill that relied more heavily on tax payer money. To me, it makes a lot more sense to use the oil reserves in Iraq.

I'll look into the missing 2/3s of all votes thing. Seems like something else taken out of context.

My vote is for George Bush. It's not that I absolutely hate Kerry, but I've been raised conservative, and with different moral beliefs than liberals. If Kerry does win though I will respect his position as president even if I may not agree with everything he says or does.

Well me I'm voting for Kerry not because I think George Bush is weird looking. I'm voting for him because he's a hero. He rescued 2 people in a war a=when he could have gone along for himself and let them die. Their families? What if they became sad, didnt have children, a whole generation is wiped out because Kerry decided to save himself? NO. Kerry saved those 2 people and hes a big hero. He deserves to be elected for that.

Not to mention the fact that BUSH IS A RETARD. I mean seriously above i was quoting the stupidest things that came out of his mouth. And those compared to Kerry? You can't compare. Kerry is much smarter than Bush and I'll be damned if Bush gets elected again.

Kerry may be a war hero and i have great respect for that but i dont agree with his policies so you cant vote for someone just because they are a war hero. The tremendous act of bravery Kerry showed on the battlefield doesnt necessarily mean he can run the country successfully.

Agreed.Kerry's gotten a bad rap for "flip-flopping." In fact, Democrats in general tend to have a reputation as indecisive. But "indeciseive"- that's really a negative spin on something that isn't that clear-cut at all. What one may call "idecisive," another may call open-minded.

Over time, social and poplitical sensibilities change among the general public. For example, today many gay rights groups are pushing for legal recognition in the form of civil unions, or even gay marriage. Forty years ago, there WAS no gay rights movement. If you said you though gay marriage should be legal, people would say "Gay WHAT?!" And the disenfranchisement of blacks in Florida in the 2000 election? 40 years ago people would say "Yea, so what else is new?" What if Strom Thurmond had still been touting segregation in the 90s? Would America be sayinng, "Man, that guy's got some determination, sticking to his principles like that"? Of course not; they'd be saying, "Man, that guy's a fuckin racist." As times change, sometimes politicians HAVE to flip-flop on the issues.

What's wrong with Bush believing in God. Kerry has even said that he is of the Catholic faith, so in turn I'm sure Kerry believes in God. I'm not starting a religious argument because I know that isn't alowed here, but just because somebody believes in Jesus doesn't mean they're an idiot. We are given a choice in America to believe whatever we believe. I don't criticize people for not believing in God, I even talked to a kid that worshipped Satan at my school. I just don't see why people who believe in God take so much heat. But other than that I too also agree that the whole, "Kerry looks scary" thing is absolute B.S. I mean come on look at Richard Nixon, that guy looked like a damn cave man or something. Like I said before and I'll say it again if Kerry does get elected as president, even though I will not agree with everything he says or does, I will respect the fact that he is MY president.

The problem some people have with it is when people make political decisions based on their religion; it goes against separation of church and state when religious dogma is involved in legislation.
