Call of Duty: Ghosts

Squad mode sounds like it could be pretty interesting if done right. I haven't played a CoD game a lot since MW2 which I loved. Hopefully if I decide to pick this up it will feel refreshing enough since I haven't played a CoD game in quite some time.

The mode does seem interesting since you can switch both computer and humans out. I think the one that sounds interesting to me is Cranked, obvious party game. It reminds me of Vampire Mode in Timesplitters 3, where you have to keep killing players to stay alive otherwise you'll die by your blood meter dropping.
I think the mode might doing all right, not really hyper crazy about Squad Mode, but that can always change.

Cool, I'm brain dead and a wretch. Awesome.

I'm actually looking forward to this entry. I haven't really looked too much into it though, because I'm looking at Killzone 4.. Which I hope they don't fuck up like Killzone 3... Killzone 2 was a Masterpiece =( EDIT: Also, I see a lot of people complaining about the dive not returning... I think the dive is a Treyarch thing, Same with Zombiez.
The dive wasn't really that useful to me except avoiding some gunfire and bouncing betties. But I'm certain that is where the slide is going to make up for it. It's a nice action, don't get me wrong but, there's so many other actions a soldier can do other than the dive to have more chances of dodging enemy fire and such, that could be more useful... at least in my opinion obviously.

For me, it was that they made Zombies so overly complicated. That and the characters they made for Blops 2 just weren't funny.

I've had an on-again-off-again relationship with COD. The first two titles (PC original, COD2) were great. The franchise has been going downhill for sure. I got so pissed with MW3 and how shitty it was that I 100% ignored BLOPS2. I was ignoring Ghosts until I saw that stuff with the Squads.
Gotta admit I'm intrigued as heck for the Squads and all the stuff that comes with it. I remain skeptical but I'll give Ghosts a shot.

I thought the Alcatraz Zombies was pretty fun.
It was. But the whole "Die and become a ghost" thing really ruined it for me. The entire point of zombies is to stay alive as long as possible, and being able to go ghost defeats that purpose. And sure in Alcatraz the point is to escape, but it shouldn't involve becoming a ghost to do so.
As for the group, I tried to like them. I really did. Marlton was my favorite. But they just couldn't compare to Tank, Nicholai, Takeo, and Richtofen. They just didn't gel well as a group like the others did.

Shitty franchise, yet another shitty game, etc. Next year there will be another one for those who like to waste full price + 50 bucks of dlc.

I wasn't too big of a fan of the ghost either but the whole setting of Alcatraz was very fun. Especially if you're trying to go after the achievement, Pop Goes the Weasel.
I never really gotten too attached to any of the characters that you play as in Zombies.

I have people message me all the time and call me trash because I'm a prestige-master and my K/D is like 1.33. Then I refer them to my W/L which is like 2.8...they never message back after that.
I hate people that join games types like domination or hardpoint and just try and get kills...I play to win even if I have to take a grenade to save my teammates while capturing the objective.

I camp when sniping and as a defense against rushdown players. And I don't give a shit if people like it or not.

There's a threat to cod. Gta v has topped preorders leaving cod third. I might just get gta v till cod comes out. Gta v could be goty. Also the last of us could be goty also. It has an amazing story and its about zombies. Cod will sell tremendously but its still going to br knocked down a peg or two. There is serious competition this year.even with next gen consoles coming out gta v will probably outsell it, and gta v is only on current gen.
I don't mind players camping. I just can't sit in one spot for a good duration of the time. The only time I can't stand campers is when they're around res-points. That's the only time I can't stand them.
But getting back to the game, when reading that second article, what they discussed about unlocking weapons and such, I'm starting to enjoy that a whole lot more rathe than waiting to be a specific level. Now it's "squad points" that you can earn. Finally no more waiting to level up.

I still think the Black Ops currency unlocking system was the best. It wasn't perfect but it was pretty great.

Eh, I don't really like waiting to be a specific level to get a gun. But I never minded the whole leveling up the gun to get the attachments. That was good on their part but reaching a specific level and then having to re unlock stuff in prestige mode... Eh, I never really cared for re unlocking things.

That was the only problem. If they let you buy your guns no matter what level you were the system would've been perfect. I think it's a hell of a lot better then having to level up your guns. Instead of having to get a set number of kills, you can buy whatever attachments you wanted whenever you wanted to.
