Can someone tell me what might be going on?

Well, this site has been loading really slow for the past 3 days, and most of the time after I wait like 5 minutes for it to actually finish loading, it just says "Server Busy". It's been doing that nearly every single time I tried to come to this site for like that past 2 or 3 days. This is one of the few lucky times it actually didn't say "Server Busy"... But the site still loaded very slow, regardless. My DSL can't even prevent the site from loading slow for some reason, lol.

It could be because of traffic but I really don't have a clue neither. It took about three minutes just to post this message! furious

Yeah, well, at least it's like this for everybody so this problem is not because of our computers, but something within the site. Do the webmasters know about this?

YEAH, wtf is goin on? As soon as the Elder Gods/Gods go away the site has been REALLY slow, if it works at all (Server is busy etc.) Maybe cus of the info for E3??? I dunno, but it seems to be improving and I bet when they return, coincidently it will be back to normal.

There isn't anything "wrong" within the site, we are just simply getting a large amount of traffic. This of course is caused by many users browsing the site at once, mainly due to E3.

Ok that makes sense. But do you mean users that are not registered, cus whenever I'm online the number of users on the online list doesn't seem to be any more or less than usual.

I see it as two fold. Guests who come hear, for the first time in most cases, who hear about MKO and want the update info on E3. Also if you've noticed as I have, there are a lot of returning members who haven't been here in well over a year or more who are back to get the info on MKD.

As Crow already mentioned, the site is literally getting hammered with traffic due to E3 and people wanting the updates...

Give it a few days and it'll be all back to normal again when things calm down a bit. smile

lol same here. I am on a 56k connection. I can come to main page but if I try going to the forums I get the "server busy message" , and even if I do get to a forum I would click a thread and get the server busy message. Well at least I have downloaded near every video this site has posted on MK: D ( greatfully :.D). I only have 4 of the newest ones left!!!!

Well if anything i'd think it is becuase of the 242 Meg video they have up. I have a cable modem and it downloaded at around 200 m/s so I think if there are many people downloading this, that's when you most likely get the busy message. edit: Nevermind i see they got a smaller version up...

But it is also slow with the traffic, it's 1:30 am here in chicago and theres 32 people online. When was the last time you saw that here recently?
