In comparison to girth, length, shape and curvature... is foreskin really that palpable during sex? I can see during oral sex how it would change the playing field, but during vaginal or anal sex, does it make that big a difference?

That website is very pro-circumcision despite what the author would have you believe. I'd say the medical community continues to be split and on the fence.. The real issue being "should we continue to circumsize infants"? With a consenting adult however the decision is easier to make.

If your friends main concern is, "1. Will sex feel less awesome? 2. Will my dick be easier to clean?", then I'd wager that the answers are:

1. Probably. But...it'll still feel plenty awesome either way.

2. Probably. But...your friend already has a lifetime of (presumably) practicing healthy hygiene. You still need to wash your dick regardless.

The easier to clean argument has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard about penis, and people tell me stupid things about penis all the time. Pull it back far enough and it's essentially the exact same thing as washing a cut penis... The only problem you'll encounter with a foreskin is if you purposely decide not to wash it for a few days.... Then you're very likely to smell like pee and old jizz, but that's true of any penis, even the most hoodless of penises will get icky if you don't wash it.

Also, a thought I have about being circumcised as an adult... Sensation is dulled in a cut penis and you spend your entire life getting used to the sensitive parts rubbing on your clothes throughout the day. If you spend your whole life free of dickhead friction though... How insanely irritating must it be to suddenly feel like you're under 24 hour dickfriction assault?

I only just had the helmet v anteater debate with a few girls the other day. They for most part really didn't mind saying that it really wouldn't put them off a guy either way. Then again people say stuff like that all the time just so they don't look mean.

I think its becoming less common these days for people to circumcise children cause most guys are educated enough to clean their dicks and people seem to be heading in a 'natural body' direction.

Interestingly the porn industry used to hire circumcised men because the theory that the head of the penis was less sensitive because it was always exposed and rubbing against clothing leading to a longer performance. Although I'm not exactly sure if thats a legit theory.

I don't really think its ever going to be resolved which is better unless a great number of grown men are willing to go through surgery to find out so count me outta that haha

Personally I am uncut and I prefer uncut dicks too.

1. I find it sad when the circumcision scar is very obvious and makes the penis look like it was butchered.

2. A friend of mine had to get circumcision because as a kid he didn't clean his dick like his mom told him to, and after the surgery he was left with a very pronounced curve to the left. I've seen it and it wasn't pretty.

3. Plus, he said that after his surgery, because his glans kept rubbing on his underwear, he lost a lot of sensitivity over time.

4. And to those who say an uncut penis smells bad... if you clean it everyday it won't smell bad. And a circumsized penis can still smell bad anyway, so it's an invalid point.

The foreskin has plenty of nerve endings, and so does the gland itself. If you cut off the foreskin, the gland will be more exposed and become keratinized, so all of the free nerve endings become buried by callused skinskin.

Basically, if you roll with a cut penis, you will lose a lot of feeling. Whether or not it's good feeling is a question only a man who has had a late circumcision could answer, but ligically, it would seem so.

I was almost circumcised when I got an infection as a kid. I was old enough to have been able to remember it. The particular infection was an easy to fix one, and all I had to do was stick my junk in yogut every day. I'm not joking. Anyway, it worked. Still uncut.

But what I'm saying, i know some feeling is lost due to exposure, but how much? And more importantly, what kind of feeling?
For example, between ur lips and the rest of your face, there is a huge difference in nerve ending density. My question is, like say in percentage, how much feeling is truly lost due to exposure from lack of prepuce. Also, the sensibility of the glande is a very particular one. Its almost like it tickles, so when u lose sensitivity, do you lose the tickle or do you lose actual feeling? cause i gotta say my fireman is pretty touchy and sensitive...

So my point is, how much exactly is the difference?

I hate to say it but this thread is actually a sigh of relief LOL I never got to get my son circumsized because I had to fight to get him home and he was just over a year old when he did finally come home. I'm circumsized and was worried because I never got his done and since he's older I was cringing about when it did get done. I'll just leave it and if he ever asks I'll tell him the truth "Son...you don't talk to your dad about your penis..alright, champ? Now..off you go.."

I had mine cut at the age of 19 for mostly medical reasons but since then i've come to love body art and had it pierced in the traditional PA position too. Liked it so much i'm planning on doing it again next to the existing one.

Post-circumcision healing was a BITCH with lots of ugly bruising and swelling but after a week i could just about manage masturbation. If i'd had the choice i would have done it younger to avoid the post-pubescent problems but what's done is done.

Circumcised dicks are over rated anyway. No offence to those who have it. I'm uncut and I've had no problems with mine!

Hehehehe... If anything I consider cut to be a tiny bit of a turn off... I think there's probably a bit more love for penis of all kinds when it comes to gay people though, haha.... Women are likely the pickier of the two.

I'm an uncut 21 year old male. When I was younger I'd always wonder about the extra skin on the end of my penis and thought everyone had it until I discovered porn.

At first I always thought that it looked different in those movies because they had probably pulled the skin back but then after a while I guess I figured it out and realized that most of the penises I've seen in porn are circumcised. So naturally I begin to wonder...is something wrong with me? Thankfully I've come to find out I'm not.

I know someone who was uncut but then got the surgery to be cut while he was older and he said the pain was excruciating. He said a few days afterwards he was lying on the bathroom feeling like he was about to die. Even though he told me that, I've wondered if I'd ever go through with that. I even spoke with a fellow uncut friend about circumcision at length. After some extensive research, I'm happy to say that I am uncut and proud.

Contrary to popular belief, circumcision being healthy is a myth, and in fact increases the risks of infection and disease.

My suggestion is that your friend doesn't get circumcized. There are other ways to increase pleasure.

I still hate that the title of this thread is misspelled. Circumcision doesn't increase your chances at contracting STI's. Show me your source, I'll show you twice as many rebutting it.

Watch any pregnancy info or whatever the hell you wanna call them videos, as they are instructed to tell you this.

I know this from watching all those stupid videos with my sister every time she got pregnant. The doctors in those videos urge expecting mothers not to give in to the myth, as it does more harm than good. I was surprised myself. Cool thing though, all the videos we watched stretched back from now to the early 80s, and they all say the same thing about circumcision.

To state, I'm not saying circumcision increases the risk of STDs, but illnesses in general. The foreskin is meant to protect the head of the penis, without it the head is more vulnerable to infections, thus increasing the risks of disease. I must say though, the infections are more common in babies than in adults. Either way, it's not worth the risk.

Most studies on circumcision are inconclusive, but the evidence points to saying that the added benefits of a circumcision outweigh the costs of a circumcision.

The "general" infections that you seem to be talking about seem to be so rare that no one I know has ever spoken of getting an infected penis head.

However, evidence points to the fact that circumcised men are less likely to get HIV from sex from a woman. That's an added safeguard, for a majority of the male population, from an infection that people are a lot more aware of.
