I have both games but i'm undecided. Call of Duty is simple, more of a smaller, close-range combat(such as resistance). It has many fun energetic modes-my favorites are infected and drop zone- and a lot of maps. It has many weapons, equipment, and death/kill streaks.

Battlefield 3 is is a wide, addictive game. The maps are much bigger, the weapon selection is also. The game is more of a vehicle/sniper/support kind of game. the vehicles you can use makes the game more compelling.

If I had to decide, I would choose MW3, because 1. More people are playing, so you dont wait for a while sometimes, 2. It is way easier to rank up, 3. I had the game before BF3, so I have a better reputation( MW3-Major I, BF3-level 9 or 10). thats it

For me, its MW3. I also have been playing the series since its first release so I feel more comfortable with it. Also its way more fun I think, way faster paced and more adrenaline. When people say its "n00b friendly" I compare it to Mortal Kombat. Its easy to get into and feel like your descent but spend a lot of time with it and you will be stacking kills and raising your K/D. It does have some cons... I will admit it, it does look like IW just copied and pasted a lot of things and the sounds are not as good as BF3. Treyarch makes much better CoD's thats for sure, but in my mind CoD 4 will always be the best.

All in all, BF3 is too slow and stiff for me. So it can keep its graphics and sound and vehicles and whatever else, in my mind CoD will always be king and BF will always be its jester.

Why people would prefer a game where you phone your plane to come help you on your little cellphone to a game where you can do this sort of stuff is beyond my understanding.

It's like insisting that Pac-man is better than God of War or Arkham City.
Games that were good once lose their shine compared to modern games pushing the envelope.
