I've had a lot of crazy things happen to me at work, but this one takes the cake.

The other day, this lady came into the child care center I work at to enroll her daughter, who was like 4 or 5 years old. The lady realizes she forgot something in her car, so she tells Daughter to sit in the director's office, and that she'll be right back.

Lady goes out to her car to get whatever, and forgets that Daughter is inside. Lady panics when she realizes Daughter is not at her side, thinking Daughter has run off or been kidnapped or something. Lady calls 911. Police respond... in force. Police are getting ready to shut down streets and go over entire neighboorhood. I mean, the cops are EVERYWHERE.

My director looks out the window and sees Lady hysterical with the cops. Wondering what is going on, she goes outside and asks what the dealio is. Lady explains that her daughter is missing. Director kindly informs her that Daughter is sitting inside coloring, happy as a clam.

Other parents arrive to pick up their children, see cop cars everywhere, and start freaking out. Parents start coming in, asking teachers what is going on. Teachers haven't been told anything either at this point, so THEY have no idea what is going on, either.

Lady comes back inside and is re-united with her daughter, who was never really lost to begin with. Apparently Lady was so fucking drunk she misplaced her own child.

I work as a technician for a public school district here. The craziest thing that happened at my work was last year when I was put in charge of a special education program for troubled students as an extra duty. I was still required to do my normal computer tech job but was also required to help out the teacher of the special education program if she ever had trouble with her students. The students were there for behavioral issues and all had been either expelled or suspended from their regular high schools, so they were troubled kids. Well, one day one of the students went kind of crazy. He cut all of the phone wires in the building as well as all of the internet ethernet cat5 cables to the computers. He then started to run up and down the hallway, and when the teacher confronted him, he hit her. I was called in to try to get him under control. He began cussing me out, and took off. We called the cops on his ass, and he was arrested for assaulting a teacher. He's still in the juvenile detention center. It was fucked up, but something that I knew I'd have to deal with. I'm no longer in charge of that program, they found a new location for them where they're at an actual school site with a real principal now. The funniest part of all of this was that the kid acted like a total bad ass, saying fuck you, fuck this, fuck you guys, fuck the pigs, call the fucking pigs, I'll fucking beat their ass when they get here. Then the cop shows up and he's shitting bricks, and it was a female cop that showed up too.

Early August of 2010 I was senior line medic for my infantry company in Afghanistan. One of my platoon medics hurt his back so I stepped in for a mission. We got stuck out at a t-intersection with a company of Germans for five days in 100+ degree weather. On day three however an old Afghan man comes to our little gaggle fuck with his grand daughter - whom had third degree burns over half of her body which was consistent with child abuse. Specifically the little girl was dunked in boiling water as a punishment for something. The grandpa tries to act as if it was just an accident and that the girl accidentally spilled hot tea water on herself.

Either way they had gone to and been rejected help by the Hungarians - so the came to us. We did our best to stabalize the little girl. The platoon leader at the time tries to call in a MEDEVAC for the kid but initially gets denied. However the PL makes a huge scene on the radio and eventually manages to get a MEDEVAC. The girl and her grandpa get into the Blackhawk and get flown north to a level 2 treatment facility.

Baby girl dies a few hours later. Shitty experience that was.

As a Flight Attendant, my job day is different every single day. I get lots of crazy people sometimes. One of the craziest flight, was when this one guy asked her wife that he wanted a divorce, on a 8hr 50mn flight! At 39, 000 feet! He told her right after take off, she came to the back crying and devasted. He also told her that he didn't want to sit next to her. On a full flight... You can imagine how that was...

I work at a high risk juvenile correctional facility. Just to let you know right now kids are ten times worse than adults. They have more rights and they are babied and not treated like prisoners like they should be. Rehabilitation over punishment bullshit.

Anyway I show up to work one day and a Texas Ranger is standing by the fence. Apparently a youth had escaped through a hole cut in the fence. His mom had cut it open early in the morning. Now some of you probably don't know what a Texas Ranger is but when one shows up its because shit has hit the fan. Texas Rangers don't play no shit. So I'm listening to the story of how the kid escaped. At 6am he ran from line movement to the hole in the fence. Somehow his staff thought he was still in his room. He ran five miles north to hwy 82 where the dogs lost the scent. His mom must have picked him up there. This is the second time this youth has escaped. He ran from a halfway house when he only had three months to go. His mom helped him out with that one as well. The law slapped them on the wrist for it. Bad mistake. So right now I'm thinking damn they are outta state by now and are gonna be tough to catch. Boy was I wrong. His mom went bragging about it on Facebook, the law tracked it down somehow, went to Dallas Texas where they live originally, and bust the doors down picking up the mom, the escapee, his gf and bf. Yeah prison life made him bisexual.

Dumbest criminal fucks I have ever known. Now since his mom couldn't wait 6 months till his release date they are both facing up to 5 years in prison. Now they are going to prison where the COs arent gonna give a fuck wether they live, die, get raped, or starve. I didn't like the kid anyway.

I fell in the trash compactor once.

All I could think of was "I need to get the fuck out of here QUICK" and "Final Destination"
