Dating Co-workers. Discuss
Now I know in my 20 years of being alive I am NOT the storage facility of all the knowledge in the world, but I have learned a thing or two.
I have systematic rules and regulations for dating and relationships, and ONE of them being that dating people that work with me is STRICTLY forbidden.
The reason why I say this is because in our society a little bling bling is advised when dating or having a relationship with women and ESPECIALLY women who rank 8.5-10 on the attractive scale.
Furthermore dating someone from work is dangerous for the job itself. Why? because it does not take alot for women to take advatage of sexual harassment claims if things don't go their way in relationships. I've seen it happen to friends and others, and I even had a situation with one concerning a chick I had absolutely NO interest in.
In conclusion dating or getting in a relationship with co-workers is dangerous because it puts the job at risk and when money is at risk so is the caliber of women one can obtain, not to mention one's own financial life.
There are exceptions to this like anything else for instance:
1) If one does not value one's job
2) Those that have married their work partner
That is my view on dating co-workers.
Discuss, agree, disagree? Why?

Dating your neighbor is an even bigger risk.

All the people at my company on my shift are guys,....and I'm not into that kind of thing.
Besides, I'm married.
But....there was one time I was interested in this girl I worked with. She was a major flirt, 3 years my senior, seemed to be experienced, and Hot. She would rub up against me at work all the time. Sexual Harrassment? No, if I recall correctly, I liked it.
Anyway, to make a long story short, I saw the problems with dating a co-worker, and decided instead to date my best friend's sister. Weird? Yeah. But, we're married now, and me and my best friend still hang out all the time.

Well, that sounds reasonable. But there are some more exceptions that can be added.
-If you work in a large enough place where you couldn't possibly run into each other unless you tried. (Ex: the mall, at a YMCA, etc)
-If you both work different day and hours, but happen to share the same day off.
-If you work from home and just happen to find out that the other person works for the same job from home.
Yes, dating a neighbor and a co-worker is a very bad idea; but given the right circumstances I'd risk it.

I know this is off topic, but... Oh, and a little at work advice for you guys:
Don't try to find the urinal in the dark.
You'll urinate on the floor.
I know, I just tried.
Edit: and to help keep it on topic. My brother-in-law and his wife worked together while dating for years. They got along just fine until she became a supervisor. He ended up finding another job after graduating.

I feel the same way, my neighbor across the street is pretty cute, I've never talked to her before, she seems kinda shy, but its a huge risk.
