And there will be no Halo 4 you dolt. The fight was finished, but they're may be other games with Master Chief in them. And you can tel it was finished because there isn't any other enemy in the end.

MC doesn't die. Watch the ending on Legendary. The 1/2 of the ship him and cortana where on got cut in half from th half the arbitoer was on, and was sent drifing in space. Cortana tells him she drop a hioming beacon, but it ould take some time before the'd be found, "years even" sjes says. So MC cralls into a cryo chamber, and tells cortana to "wake me when you need me."

Theoretically, there could be a Halo 4 I guess set years after halo 3, where humanity is in another war, on the bring of destruction, when they finally pick up on the beacon that cortana drop, and end up waking the master chief. But if would be more of the start of a new halo series rather than of this exsisting one.

You never see the Gravemind "Die" and really, do you think that the Flood is totally gone? I don't. Not for a moment.
