I remember, however briefly, the time when there were no more than about, oh, 40 people. Everyone knew everyone, or was at least familiar with each other. But now, there are so many people, newbies and others who are not "veterans" and socially popular, yet I've never even heard of. Do you feel overwhelmed by the torrent of people? Do you wish for the days of old when the forum was more intimate? *sigh* perhaps I just feel like my brief shine of significance has vanished. Now, I'm like I was before... a nameless face in the crowd.

I absolutely agree.

Thats why i dont post often anymore, everything seems to crammed up, and there are so many threads. Dozens of people has joined, and i feel like theres no point in making a thread, because it would probably go down way to quickly since tons of people post at once in different threads.

Heh......its pretty much overboard here, but what can ya do.

the REAL problem if you must know, is that there are a bunch of little kids that have joined the community and are posting buulcrap threads such as "Do any of you know how old I am?". I just saw that thread a second ago and I knew immediately that some little snot-nosed brat made it, that is the real problem....

Actually, I was thinking more in the line of "who the hell are you"? You previous two people, for example, I don't know! Who are you! When on earth did you get here! You really can't go by that number under your name (since I'm logged on for long intervals and have been here about seven months), yet you people have already trounced me. Still, I don't know you! You're not familiar! But... yeah, I agree that anyone under fifteen should be kicked off. THis is a mature, serious forum, people! Damn right! Now, it's time for my beddie-bye.

Not so much too many people, but too many children.

It's funny how threads like this attract the people who cause the problem...
But who am i to say such a thing anyway?..

You've only been here 7 months? Dude, I clearly remember you pre-2004. As for every other thing you said, I agree with you 100%.

Hmm, this is a Mortal Kombat board, maybe if we encourage them to watch some of these MK videos, it'll scare these little rugrats away.

I may not have a HEAP of visits compared to other people that have been here alot less. (I have been a member for about 2 years). And I still am not known by alot of the members, and that is fine. No fuss is caused by it. I just don't post alot.

And when I do post they are not normally useless & shitty threads.

But i do recognise alot of the people that do post as being regulars. They 'normally' have something decent and useful to say, but not always the case.

I don't think there are too many people on this forum. They all have a right to be members. I just think that they post too much useless shit! and that's what we all hate...

Saxtard, you've been here one year and three months, by my count. I checked my messages. But, aside from that brain fart of yours, I agree with you all the way. I remember when it was just a few people here. The-Switcher, VenoMark, RammSPOOn, DarkRain, etc. They were the veterans, and I remember the new people coming in, and it was always a big deal. I remember when Kitana4ever signed on, and then her sister Pink_Ranger, you_suck, yourself, even people like Ghaleon, tgrant, TemporaryUserName, etc. I clearly remember being newbies once, and it was a big deal when they popped up, but now... there is too many people to keep track of. I tried hard in the beginning to get to know everyone, but that's become near impossible. I just checked out who was online, and, quite frankly, I don't know even half of everyone. I'm not sure if I know a third. There ARE too many people here, many of whom are just taking up space. The boom after MK:DA has had a negative side effect, one I didn't expect. Still, I'll be here long after the newbies have grown tired and left. I'll be here either till the site closes or I die. Maybe then, the state of things will revert back to how it used to be. Fatality.

I remember when we had to walk 15 miles in the snow to make a post. And we had no shoes. Or pants.

The snow was also on fire.

That was long ago, though. I miss all of the old people.

Just wondering then, what is the proper number of people? If you could decide on a number of users, what would it be? Who leaves? Who stays?

Please give your thoughts on this.

Dang! I barely remember the whole Christopher Lambert icon! That was before I knew how to get and make my own. That was so long ago. Man, that's ancient to me. Fatality.

If we're going by people we remember, I have seen every one of you come onto these forums. And there are some that might have remembered me coming on the gamers.com boards back in March 2001. If your going to throw out people who are new, maybe you should start with you.

just wait until after MK 6 is released, and everyone will go away again....coming and going of the tides....they only flood in before a release.

Blocking people out because they are noobs is a violation of free speech. As much as I hate to admit it, nothing can be done without being facist.

My reply is directed at no one person particularly.

There can never be "too many people" on any forum. Why must some feel they deserve to be here more than others just because they happened to join prior to these newer users?

Respect people by their thoughts, ideas, and personality, not something as shallow as amount of time joined or visit count. It's selfish to feel you're any better than another simply because you "were here first".

When I judge any user on this forum, I never look at visit count, date joined, or popularity; I do my best to respect the person for who they truly are and not involve dates and numbers.

Plenty people joining the site isn't the problem.
It's some of us creating bunch of silly thread like,
1.how old am I?
2.a new pic with Kira
how can you create a thread saying new pic with Kira when it's on the front page.I think the person who created this thread is injudicious.creating a thread to complain about the amount of people joining a site.
I thought you knew that one time in life you were new too this site and you should give others a chance.
