I had some naughty friends in high-school. They stole because they thought it made them appear cool, and worst of all, it rubbed off on me. It just looked so fucking easy, you know? They would steal cd's, especially from The Wherehouse. Never anything TOO serious.

So, this one day, i was in Costco with my new girlfriend, and her family. We were heading back to school(college) after a vacation, and the trip to Costco was for some supplies. I got bored and wondered the DVD section with her brother, and then i came across a copy of RoadTrip, the DVD, that was not in a security thing. I grabbed it and put it under my hoody.

We got in line to pay, and i was so nervous. I kept thinking, "WHY?", "Why the hell did i do this, im gonna get caught right in front of my girlfriend, and her parents and make them and especially me look bad". BUT I DIDNT get caught, but after that experience i never stole anything again.

But now that i am a little older, i "graze" (term signifying those who take things like grapes, candies that you buy by the qtr. pound, little things, etc..) grocery stores and take a few candy items, like the Brachs things, and a few other items.

OH and i used to have a cashiers job at a certain restaurant. We would have HUGE pie sales, and i would put put $1.25 out of my OWN pocket into the cash register so that i was up $1.25 Then, as people came in, i knew the exact amount of 3 pies, which was $18.75. A lot of people paid with twenties ($20.00). So since my drawer was UP 1.25, i would hit NO SALE, give them my $1.25, and then pocket the 20.00...so i would go up $18.75 for my own bad ass self....pretty clever huh?

I wouldn't really call it "stealing," but I occaisionally take mini-packets of Mentos (5 candies per pack) and Slim Jims from the liquor store where I work when nobody's looking. I'm allowed to take snacks anyway, but my cousin (who I work with) often bugs me about it. One time he accused me of stealing a little 50 ml bottle of Kahlua, but I was innocent (he was convinced one was missing from the shelf, but it was like that when I got there, it really was).

Well technically yes I steal, I just change prices at various stores. It's so easy to do at Borders, Best Buy, and Tower Records.

How do you do that exaclty? I mean, Hypothetically if you change price tags using Book A = Lost Boys for $5.00 and Book B = Peter Pan for $15.00 then when they scan the price tags yeah you might get Peter Pan for $5.00, but it will read "Lost Boys"...know what i am saying?

Theres nothing to steal or anything where i work at, to be honest. I mean, what could you possibly want to steal from Plumbing or an insulation factory?tongue

Anyways, in my childhood days i used to steal alot. I remember when i was 6 years old, i would steal TONS of candy from markets and such. Yup, i was very mischievous when i was little. I would also take alot of toys.

I havnt stole recently, i pretty much buy everything i need since i make good money. But the last time i did steal something was when i was 14. I stole a bunch of clothes from Athletes world, Hahahahaha!!!!

P.S. - Alpha/TheloniousM, i know exactly what you guys do. My cousins do it ALL the time.grin

I steal some, not really big stuff, but every once in a while I'll snatch something worth some dough.

The last really expensive thing I stole were two RCA Lyra 128MB MP3 players ($100.00, one for me and one for my friend.) The manufacturing company was smart and put the little metallic bar code inside the battery compartment, and me not checking for it went out the doors, and the detector went off, but luckily it was an old one at the door and she said it was probably something on my shoe, go figure.tongue

I used to rip off Quick Chek every single day when I worked there. They used to have a policy where the left over magazines would have to be stripped of their cover and the rest would go to the trash, the covers would then be sent back to the publisher. Now the majority of people just took their magazines without the covers for free, but I wanted the entire thing. So what I would do is I'd wait for my lunchbreak, pay for my begal and cappuccino and then swing by the magazine rack. I'd then pick up the most recent copies of EGM, PSM, WWE magazine, and anything else I found intriguing and head to the back to eat. After eating I left all of the mags in the back room next to my jacket and I'd leave my reciept for my food face down on the pile. At the end of the day I walked out the front door with a stack and no one ever noticed. Never failed.

They do something similar here, except instead of taking the ENTIRE cover off, they only remove the part of the cover with the mag's name.

Technically, yes. If I have an MP3 player that breaks before I've had it for 6 months, I just buy a new one and put the old one in the new box. Return that, and I'm golden.

I don't recall ever straight stealing something, though. A few months ago I helped a girl steal 2 of those glass rings (about $4), but I wasn't the one who pocketed them. I sort of told her when the store owner wasn't looking.
