I was just wondering if anyone thinks this? I was thinking of the new look for Raiden, and if his profile says he couldn't destroy the Dragon King, and he lost his powers in trying to. I honestly don't think any of the combatants could beat him, meaning that they could kill off the series after MK:D. I don't intend for this thread to be gearded towards MK:D, but thinking that Boon has only worked on one game The Grid since he started the Mortal Kombat franchise he might be thinking of walking away and looking at some other projects. It's not like it isn't posible just look at Tobias who walked away to start his own company. I know Midway wouldn't kill off their best franchise, so I'm sure MK will continue, but what if Boon did decided to walk away from it. How do you think it would turn out? Would any of us fan even be interesed in the series any more if Boon walked away from it?

I'm not trying to insunate or start any rumors, but I'm just wondering what is everyones thoughts if this where to happen.

I dont think he will... Ed Boon is obviously a talented man but really he hasnt done any other projects that have compared to MK... he created a franchise that will hang over him no matter what else he does, it will be one of those situations where if he did make another series then it would constantly be put up against MK and discussed... SO i think he'll stay with MK...

If Tobias never comes back, then "he'd better".

You know i would acually like to see him make another franchise, he doesnt have to leave mk, but he should do other games...perhaps other fighting games, or spin off of mortal kombat, or another grid game...i want to see if boon is not a one trick pony.

I'm not neccisarily implying that Boon would leave just to start a new franchise, but the posiblity that he might be getting tired of doing MK after all these years and might try to end it with MK:D so he could move on to something else (anything).

Well I dont know boon and probably never will, but my guess is i am sure his life doesnt revolve around just mortal kombat.Sure its a big part of it but let the guy have a life.So meaning that I think he might want to do other things which is fine so its really anyones guess.Theres nothing wrong with him tring to see what else he can do but atleast he knows if he wants to come back to work on mk if he did decide to do other things i am sure midway would welcome him back with open arms. With tobias i dunno cause he seems like he is better off where he is.But personally I think he wouldnt walk away from it rather then do other things in between which would probably be a better choice. But for gods shake dont get mad if he does cause everyone wants to retire someday.

BTW vote for BUSH
Boon would never leave MK to start somting else. I think he has way too much fun working on all the games and making charaters.
