posted08/16/2004 06:53 PM (UTC)byXbox fighting game fan should be in heaven with DOA Ultimate being released just one week before MK:D(DOA-9/31/2004; MK:D- 10/4/2004). Anyone else plan on getting it to hold them over for a week for MK:D?
On a side note does anyone thing that with DOA being released just a week before MK:D that it could steal some of MK:D thunder? Since technically DOA Ultimate will be the first online 3d fighter to be released.

Interesting, I have a lot of gaming to do in the next few months. Fable, DOAU, MK:D, and Halo2. *Drools*

Yeah me too. Also Street Racing Syndicate, ESPN NHL Hockey, 007 Goldeneye Rogue Agent, Need for Speed Underground 2, and possibly GTA:San Andreas.

Just because it's not doesn't mean it won't be the best.
I for one don't play any fighting games besides MK. And I never will.
It was an online enabled version released for the Sega Saturn Netlink, a modem that plugged into the cartridge slot.
It's not a "hack" of anything.
My Netlink came with online version of Virtual On and Sega Rally.

Sorry, that isn't going to happen. We'll be lucky if MK is anywhere near lag free between 2 xboxes...

Can you really do that? I dno't think that you can because Sony and X-box both have different online servers you know? Like Xbox live and I'm not sure what Sony uses... but I don't think that they're compatable with e/o

I think someone could make a server however, that links both....Hell there is a handful of ppl on this board that could probably make a program like that (Bearing in mind I am correct and it's possible)..

Well I'd asume it would be, since the PS2 version is broadband only Boon said.
Also I doubt that anyone could hack the game to play each system online, since just about all online enabled console games use DNASA which verifies that the game is a legitamite copy and not hacked in anyway. Thats why if you try and connect a moded xbox to the xbox live sevice it will lock that system out when it detects the mod chip. Same thing goes for PS2 games where you can use HD Loader to preload the games to the hard drive for faster load times. I don't think there is any way around DNASA becuase it checks the game as it's connecting to the internet.
