The best you can hope for is that Rare will quit messing around and make one.

I think WB should first buy Gauntlet. I want to play a Dark Legacy 2.

I would like to see WB buy RARE from Microsoft personally, and bring back KI in a major way along with some other stuff.

Sure. I'd love to see a new Killer Instinct game, but it's probably the only fighting game I'll ever say that needs dial-a-combos in order to retain its feel.

I'd rather WB try to get a new Primal Rage game out. Pretty sure that IP is theirs now.

Can't say I've ever been a Killer Instinct fan, but it'd be interesting to see a situation where Outworld could battle another realm and actually win. A game that pitted KI's characters against Outworld fighters would be a really interesting spin on the Versus concept, especially if it could then evolve into a canon contribution to MK.

Probably too selfish a concept (on MK's part) to work out for the better, but it'd be very interesting! It'd give the KI cast an extra appeal that I don't feel they have on their own.

I don't care about what happens to Killer Instinct, it can thrive if it wants.
But here's the thing, WB just bought a fighting franchise, Mortal Kombat, and look at how much attention it go. Mortal Kombat is once again a big time marketable franchise.
Do we really want all that WB attention being diverted away from MK and to Killer Instinct?
Hell no. Let WB focus on marketing for MK.

Agreed.

As much as I'd love to see Killer Instinct 3, or even a revamp of the original, WB needs only one fighting franchise, and Mortal Kombat is it.

Besides, they'd have to be pure idiots to bring back Killer Instinct while Mortal Kombat is returning to its prime. It would be a complete waste of time and money. In this day and age, Killer Instinct wouldn't be as big a competition as it was in the past.
