Donald Sterling is the owner of the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers. Since purchasing the team in 1981, the team has made the NBA playoffs 7 times. He has been considered to be an incompetent owner who has allowed his team to suffer for many years prior to their recent success.

But above all, he's a racist shithead.

Among Sterling's crowning achievements are: setting for millions in lawsuits brought on by his desire to not rent apartments to minorities, being sued for wrongful termination by former employee and NBA player Elgin Baylor, and giving what might be the best deposition ever given in a court of law.

Sterling's contributions to race relations have resulted in 0 disciplinary actions by the NBA. No fines. No suspensions. No slaps to the hand with a ruler. So the Clippers are infamously The Clippers because the owner is a shithead? Makes sense. I don't suppose they could fire him or close the team (let's face it, the Lakers far outshine the Clippers).

What is even more ironic about the whole situation, is the fact that his comments where made to his bi-racial black/Mexican girlfriend.

This guy is absolute trash. The new commissioner needs to get the rest of the owners behind him (as he basically serves at their pleasure), and really put pressure on him to sell the team. At the very least, he needs to be suspended from the team operations for a season. Maybe two. Give him enough reasons to sell. The players, the fans, the GM and anyone with a vested interested in the Clippers need to boycott. This isn't a freedom of speech issue. The guy can say whatever he wants. It's about sending a message that his opinions cannot and should not be tolerated in pro sports. If MLB can get rid of Marge Schott, the NBA should absolutely get rid of this guy.

Marge Schott was exiled by MLB because not only was she racist, she was something worse: a woman racist.

Meanwhile, Sterling's been pulling his shit for decades and is still hanging around.

The way that the Players on the team handled the situation was a real spineless pussy move in my book. Turning your jerseys inside out. Wow that is a real impacting statement to be made! /sarcasm. The better way to boycott, in my opinion, is to not play for Sterling's bitch ass.
