Donkey Kong Country Returns

I bought the game a couple of days ago, and I started playing it today. It's definitely a lot of fun, and it takes me back to the good old days with the first three Donkey Kong Country games on SNES. I'm only on world 2 right now, and some of the levels are definitely challenging, such as the level where you're in the rocket barrel and have to dodge the cannonballs and the fire they leave behind. I'm really glad they brought back the mine cart level as an homage to Mine Cart Madness. I hope to see another level like that later in the game.
Beat the first two worlds. A few problems though.
1. The hit detection - Its not too bad, I just wish it was more like the original.
2. The bouncing off enemies - I still cant figure out the timing. In the original all you had to do was jump once you hit the enemy. In this one it is all fucked up. I just mash jump before I hit to hope for the best.
3. Feel - The characters move and feel more slippery. This can really be a problem one it requires precision for killing enemies and hitting big jumps.
4. Too many wii gimicks - It gets old shaking the wii mote to blow, pound, and roll. What was wrong with forward run to roll? Oh and you cant use the classic controller or change the control options. lame.

I've GOTTA get this game. I loved Donkey Kong Country growing up. I like it better than Mario or Sonic, actually. Nostalgia FTW.

DKC always had that swaggerific feel that separated it from the Marios and Sonics of the world. It was cool without trying to be cool, unlike all those other Animal Mascots of the 90s.
