No. It's relevant. If the same group of users continuously instigate fights with the mods and derail topics, why should they be allowed to post? Why should users who consistently make new threads about covered topics, knowing full well the topics should go elsewhere, continue to be allowed to make new threads? Why do people bitch about their threads getting closed, only to make some dumb ass joke thread a second later? It's pure idiocracy.

Don't get me wrong, I live for a good joke. I'm an asshole myself. At least I stick to the subject matter when I make assholish posts.

I'm with the mods on this one, and a lot of people are being stupid, but some mods are going a little overboard and are getting a little paranoid or something.

I would like to avoid saying this, but its true. Some of the mods are letting there personal views get in the way of moderating.

That's not true at all. Though it's probably true that the more idiots speak out, the stricter moderation gets. And in times like these it's kind of necessary. Sometimes it really does feel like a job.

I feel the need to address both of these posts. Mime is correct to say that, in essence, fewer idiots means fewer bans and skulls handed out. However, and I can't speak for anyone else who handles this stuff, but my level of tolerance for such shenanigans is always the same, and that is very, very low. I do try my best to not ban users unless it's absolutely called for, but I am not perfect, and neither is anyone else.

jack, if you want to point me to posts that you think were scored unfairly, I would be happy to take a look and try to offer an explanation. PM me links and we'll go through that process. However, at the same time we as a staff must provide the mindset that we do not tolerate those who blatantly violate the rules that we have here, and if we have to be a bit harsh to get that message across, then so be it.
