I was so disappointed with Opera (aka Terror at the Opera.)

I greatly enjoy giallo films (especially Argento), so I was expecting something much better.
His movies mostly emphasize visual artistry with relatively ludicrous or strange plots. Suspiria, Inferno, Profondo Rosso (Deep Red), and Phenomena are all great movies (especially Phenomena), but Opera just sucked.

Here are the problems with the movie:
1.) The heavy metal music during the death scenes (seriously ridiculous and completely out of place)
2.) Painfully obvious villain . By thirty or so minutes in, you have a pretty damn good idea who it is.
3.) Unlikeable and bizarrely-behaving protagonist.
Seriously...this bitch sees 4+ people (and friends(!)) brutally killed right in front of her face, and do you know what she does in the following scenes?!
She flirts with her manager, talks about sex with him whilst laughing, and goes back to her apartment to chill.
Even later, she doesn't even call the police when it happens again, and only nonchalantly states she wants to go to bed.
I hate this bitch with a passion. If I could have reached into the TV to strangle her, I would have!
4.) Stupid ending. Just astoundingly bad.

This movie sucks. If you really want to see it, it's on Netflix on demand now.

However, don't say I didn't warn you...

You know something? I know that the riots and lootings in the UK have been terrible, and shouldn't be a laughing matter... But sometimes making fun of the situation is the best way to help cope with it.
