You committed to seven seasons and then decided that you didn't like it?

Seasons 1-3 are some of the best television I have ever seen.

Season 4 (the college year) was absolute garbage and it was so bad that I had to stop watching the show.

Then seasons 5-7 were interesting because of how much the characters developed and how the story progressed in a huge overarching way.

I don't know man, I love this show. I'm sorry that you didn't.

Dollhouse didn't interest me in the slightest, but I might be willing to give Firefly a chance one day.
