You can communicate with just text, mic, or webcam. I was in there the two days we had it, simply using my keyboard. It's cool to have a mic or webcam, but it's really not necessary.

It works like a chat room on AIM. And on that note, I'm out for coffee with a friend and to the movies..should be glorious.
