Most of their songs followed that structure, so they all did contribute to the songs. In no way were they like back ups or anything.
And about the Michelle and Kelly, no, they are not as successful as Beyonce, but they have achieved some success.
Kelly was at number 1 for ages when she teamed up with Nelly for "Dilemma". Her solo song Stole was also very popular.
Michelle kinda went in the gospel direction, obviously not a chart topping genre of music. She did achieve success though.
