It's good entertainment, unifying Europe and exposing less-known countries to foreign viewers. Not exactly all countries attend because of the high costs but the majority. Then there are a few non-European countries such as Israel. As in ice hockey, Russia has been triumphant in Eurovision – for the simple reason that it has sooo many people to choose the best singers from. Russia's granny group was funny anyway!

Nephrite is bursting with joy because his favorite, Sweden, won the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 yesterday in Baku, Azerbaijan! They were the faves with the bookies and among YouTube users going into the show. Loreen delivered with a very stylish performance and the song itself is an anthem! Love it, love it, love it!

I'm graduating college very soon. It's so strange. I joined this site when I was 14. I used to frequent the IRC, I was a Moderator here for some time, and I've made several friends over the last 8 years from this site. Soon I'll be starting a family. It's very surreal and posting here sure makes me nostalgic.
