I remember getting my wisdom teeth removed.

They started an IV on my hand, I started giggling and then I blacked out.
When I woke up, I couldn't stop crying for some reason.

It was creepy feeling stitches in the back of my mouth, though.

It's nice hearing/reading stories about getting wisdom teeth pulled. I'm terrified as fuck right now because I've never been knocked out by something since I was three. I hardly can recall that. It was also for something with my teeth.. I don't really have good teeth to be honest.

I'm getting the IV in as well... I just don't know how the whole "getting into the unconscious" state is going to feel like. The doc never really said too much about that. That and how I'm going to be waking up from it.

I know the whole process is going to be an hour long surgery... I worry way too much.

I got my wisdom teeth removed AWAKE. All I took was ~7 injections into my gums to numb them, then they went to town. I actually had 5 wisdom teeth to remove too.
Best part? I had a rare side effect where my entire face and neck developed bruising. My collar bone was green, my face and neck were yellow, and my eyes had red circles around them, and it looked like I popped a few blood vessels in my eyes.

1. DO NOT SKIP THE PAIN KILLERS.
2. Take them on time.
3. Soothe your pain with either a cold or hot press. What you need will FLUCTUATE, so be prepared.
4. Eat as well as you can. Blenders will be your friend.

Thank you... But how did you have five wisdom teeth pulled? I never heard anyone removing five. The doc did say that there might be some bruising that could follow afterwards. So I'm aware of that. But wow, five? Heh, sorry...

I should be sleeping right now, but I'm just awake... And sadly, I gotta have myself get waken up to take my pills. That's the one thing the doc was weary about. Since I take daily medication, they were a bit unsure how to go with that, until he mentioned that it needs to be at least five hours before the surgery and since I can't eat anything before it (which sucks because I'm super hungry right now) I have to take them at three. And no, I really can't skip them... One's a birth control pill... Eh, you can't skip that.

So... I guess if anyone is gonna undergo this as well and they take medication, you might as well take it during the time you're sleeping... You have to have a certain amount of hours in between when you take them and when the surgery is going to take place for it to just dissolve and not be a bothersome to the surgery... I think that's just if you're getting knocked out. I don't really remember why I have to have this happen.

It's gonna suck not eating certain foods today... But I know PP&J sandwiches are soft, might have that. I'm going to try to go to sleep now. Might not be on today if I'm told I'll just be sleeping the entire day. So... all I have to end with is...

Yeah, I was a special case for a lot of things in this case. The doctor did tell me about the bruising, but he never mentioned the possibility that my whole face, down to my neck, could be bruised, because it's such a rare phenomenon. I was the first case he had ever seen. I've not seen anyone else wind up the way I did.
As for the five teeth, apparently that's more a little more common than what you'd expect. A friend of mine's cousin had 6.
