So a person who truly believes and has faith in a deity as you say is a fool? Someone who dedicates himself to a certain faith and lives by it because he believes its true. Something that has affected him on a personal level and gives him inner peace.
He is a fool for not doubting his faith?
Hes a fool for standing by his word?
And someone who just says whatever fuck it is admirable.
Where the hell does this logic come from.
Your saying everyone who follows religion is stupid.
Why cant you understand people who live by a certain faith and stand b it.
how does that equate to foolishness, your little quote is foolish.

Believing in something without evidence or tangible proof is stupid.

I don't have faith. I don't need it. My problems won't go away simply by praying them away. The only way problems get fixed, is if people actually fix it themselves.

Did you not read my quote?
Believing is admirable, and you must have faith in order to believe.
There is no faith in knowing, and there is no believing without faith. Thus, saying you know means you don't need faith. That is foolish, because when it comes to deities, you do.
Take the time to read the quote, if you will.

You have a large misunderstanding of the meaning of faith. You have a greater misunderstanding of prayer, and human nature.

On the contrary, you do need faith, even if you aren't religious.
Faith extends far beyond religion, though most people don't know that. Even if you believe no deity exists, you gotta have faith in your belief, otherwise there is no point in believing.

I'm an agnostic, so if there were to be actual proof I might be convinced. But until then I don't believe anything.

As I told, J-spit, true faith in anything comes from not knowing.
You have faith, because you do not know. Conversely, you don't know, so you need faith.
Therefore, to say you know a deity does or doesn't exist is foolish. Because you don't know either way. If you did, you wouldn't need faith.

I'm agnostic too, man.
This is why I say no one knows either way, and to say you do is foolish.

Okay, I think you guys don't know what the word faith means. Here, let me bring out a dictionary...
faith |fāθ|
noun
1 complete trust or confidence in someone or something : this restores one's faith in politicians.
2 strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.
• a system of religious belief : the Christian faith.
• a strongly held belief or theory : the faith that life will expand until it fills the universe.
The faith UNdiscovered's referring to is not the religious kind, it's the trust/confidence in something kind, which is what his problem is with Riyakou's statement; those who have faith don't think something, they know something, so if they know, they automatically believe, and have faith in their argument.
