Ke$ha is relevant in today's pop music.

See where I'm going with this?

Look, I've been seeing where you're going with it for your last three posts. The fact is, Scorpion is more relevant than most of the roster, like him or not.

Shitty artists dominate the music scene, like them or not. We're pretty much in a repeat war man.

It just seems you have yet to realize that relevancy means nothing in reality.

Ke$sha is terrible. Scorpion is terrible. No amount of relevancy can change that.

The sooner people stop trying to use relevancy and popularity as assets for shitty people (i.e. Lil' Wayne), the sooner we can move on to something better.

Relevancy does mean something in reality. It decides power, exposure, and dominance. Is science built upon irrelevant information? It may seem unfair, but that's life. It seems YOU haven't learned the definition of subjective, so pls stahp trying to argue in circles. (side note: it's a video game, and is ultimately irrelevant in itself)

Xena Warrior Princess was a good show, I just wished they kinda ended the series better.

I really didn't like the series finale two parter. It was such a disappointment, it seemed so distant from the other episodes, and I just didn't like that she died, why she died, how she died, and why she has to be dead forever.

It just seemed... such an easy way to end something really big back then and they could have done it better.

I actually missed the entire final season, so I never got the chance to see what happened.

I did hear, though, that the finale sucked. Was it really that bad?

In my opinion, yes it did. It takes place in Japan and she's up against this deadly and powerful spirit name Yodoshi, who can only be battled against if you're a spirit. So, unfortunately for Xena, she has to die in order to save the souls he possesses. She gets killed in a battle of 40,000 men and she successfully beats Yodoshi after a dramatic build up to the last and final fight in the Xena universe.

Although, she has the ability to come back to life with help by Gabrielle, unfortunately, she can't come back to life otherwise all those souls she saved after killing Yodoshi will be lost forever.

I just felt that they literally had a last minute idea that they thought could work for a two part episode... It just felt rushed, and they could have done something better to do with the demise of Xena. I honestly didn't mind that she died, it's just how she died, why she died and how she can't come back to life just felt so weak and it really did tick off a lot of fans too.

Oh and hey guys, something for a good cause. My friend's little brother is dominating his high school cross country division. For some reason, a local news site has decided to make a poll, pairing him with two others he has smashed by 30 seconds. The problem-a lot of butthurt people are voting against him.

Can you all go here and vote for Spencer Hudson? This literally takes like 2 seconds, and he deserves it.

I think the whole argument is stemming from Riyakou trying to pass off Scorpion being a terrible character as a fact (or so it seems that way to me). Now I don't like Scorpion at all, he is one of my least favorites but I think it is more of a case of what is an opinion and what isn't.

Watching Rachel Maddow freak out about how violent Black Ops 2 is; it's pretty funny.

Also, I learned 2 things about Black Ops 2 that I didn't know (haven't bought it, probably wont).

1. Oliver North was a consultant on the game and appears in the game voicing himself.

2. Now disgraced General David Patreaus appears as the future Secretary of Defense in the game.

So many laughs, so little time.

It's this kind of thinking that has lead to poor quality in many outlets, including music and gaming.

It is most likely the reason Scorpion has not changed in 20 years, and characters like Cyrax and Ermac have.

Relevancy is neither above nor equal to quality. It holds no actual merit, no real worth. It only means you are noticed. Unfortunately, relevancy has sufficed with the masses for so long, they no longer notice a decline in quality, and that is sad.

It's not until they actually look back at that person/character's history that they realize, "Dude, he/she was horrible." Hopefully, this occurs with Scorpion, and in good enough time that he is able to be molded into something better.

I'm not sure what it's for but I voted.

He does seem to be coming up in votes, though.

That really depresses me, because I loved that show.

Xena was one of the shows I watch religiously as a kid, not to mention I had a crush on both her and Hercules. lol Now that I actually know what happened and how terrible the finale was, I'm not sure I really want to see it now.

I probably will anyway. It's Xena for Christ's sake.

Dude, I'm not sure what point it is you are trying to make, or what you are even arguing about anymore. What I'm stating is a fact.

Scorpion is more relevant to Mortal Kombat than most of the roster.

I didn't make him that way. You didn't make him that way. NRS did with their writing, and the masses did since 1992.

You may not like him, but it doesn't change the fact, and it never will change the fact, the scorpion has been fitted into a major role in the series and story.

Look, I'm not trying to be a dick, but I'm dumbfounded. I don't know what case you are trying to argue, because there is nothing to argue. Any amount of negative feedback wont change his place in the story or franchise, because it's set in stone.

The music scene is a bit different. The people and trends do affect what gets played, all the time. We just happen to live in an era of music you and I hate.

But not here, in this situation.

Dude. Scorpion is one of the most relevant characters in this series, and that's that.

Is it relevant to talk about the revenge revenant's relevance? It is obvious that he is relevant. However, how is he relevant, dibula? What determines his relevance: is it gameplay, frequency in the games, adverts, people's general views about the series, the story-wise importance or popularity?

Why does neither one agree with each other? dibula is talking about a fact, Riyakou is talking about an opinion and intends to justify his reasoning. An opinion is not an argument against a fact. dibula is not implying Scorpion is superb, good or anything. Agreeing with the opposing debater proceeds things big time. Also; accepting the facts of life is the outset of wisdom.

P.S. I wish to point out that there has always been and will always be shitty music. It only hides the great music, guise

@zmoke Well, I'd say his relevance is based on the fact that he and Sub have their own story that is so complex, there are entire games based around it. I'd say he is relevant because he has become a chosen of the elder gods, disbanded, and revived with more (cliche) story depth. He has appeared in almost every game, and is one of the few characters in gaming people instantly recognize.

In a sense, if you took out the Kahn/Onaga/DA conflicts, Scorp and Sub could essentially be the focus of MK with a few tweaks

Sure, the other characters have unique stories, but as of now few have been as touched upon as Scorp and Sub.

Think of them as an alternate Liu Kang/Kung Lao.

Even still, Kung Lao still has yet to recieve the same treatment as Scorp.

This whole thing began, at least on my part, with the saying of Skarlet not being a reasonable excuse for a character, to which I replied that neither is Scorpion, yet he has been around all this time.

Your post,

"Dat feel when Scorpion will always be more relevant to Mortal Kombat than half of the roster, like him or not."

lead me to the thought that you were implying that his relevance is his mark as a good character, to which I thought, "What the hell does being relevant have to do with being a good character?"

And thus, we are here.

No man. When I say "Dat feel" it was in a negative aspect.

It's a sad feeling how such an over rated character outmatches those who have so much potential. But he is more relevant than all of them, and at this point there is no changing it.

Thus

That feel when Scorpion is more relevant than half of the characters.

Well taken.

I see what you mean there now, and while I also now see that our entire argument was kinda pointless (shame on me), I'll still stand by it, because as a passionate gamer, and someone who aspires to be in the gaming industry - though for music - quality over relevance means a great deal to me.

I'm glad this shit is over, though.

I spent all the days that a new episode was featured mainly on watching Xena. I used to do her "Aye-lalalalala" really good... of course, I think I can still do it...

Aye-lalalalalala!

Yeap, still got it! wink

But I'm glad they have all the seasons on Netflix, I kept asking for the DVD sets of the shows, pfff, who needs them now?

There's a user on deviantART who likes to post pictures that are clearly not hers, yet she takes full credit for them. (Imagine that.)

It's obvious because her usual artwork looks like this, but the pictures she takes credit for look like this, this, this, and this.

The latter is most certainly not hers, as it looks identical to the style of Midwood2004's art, though I can't find the picture anywhere (as he seems to have removed some art over the years.)

It makes me so goddamn angry that she tries to pass it off as her own work when it's clearly miles better than the usual art she posts. She gives total bullshit stories on how she did the art, too, like, "thankyou a lot, this one is too a rough art on white chart, actually i wanted to draw mileena but it became kitana, and then i made it messy with liner and pencel :D."

Yeah. Sure.
Edit: Ah-ha! Well, two of her pieces of stolen art are Jax007's!
Better notify him on deviantART.
Edit 2:

So during Biology I wrote down a rap. I used basic "street" terms so it might not be good. This is the first time I actually wrote one down. So yeah, here it is.

I used to sling crack
you other bitches are whack
Had apartments stuffed with bank notes
Who the fuck are you calling bitch, hoe
Try and step I'll pull out a glock
Make sure you get shot
And when your parents find you
I'll make sure they find the gun too
It's not all glitz and glamour
More like the sickle and hammer

That's all I got. I'll add more to it.
