That's the final boss from .hack//Infection. The guy playing the game is an idiot and should've used his own character to heal instead of relying on the AI, but whatever. Notice how it's pretty simple, you can tell your allies specifically what to do, and you have to adjust your tactics on the fly as the battle unfolds? Well...

This is part 2 of the final boss battle from .hack//G.U. Rebirth. Part 1 of the battle is a bit more traditional, with the differences that you have a super meter to perform team attacks, you don't have nearly as much control over your allies, and you can perform your own specials, called rengekis, only when specified. You still have skills that you can use in-between, though. Anyway, back to my point. Boss fights in G.U. are more like a dogfight, where you have to fire energy blasts at enemies to stun them and then slash them up with your giant scythe. You actually get to play as the baddie you fight in the first link I posted. By the time I tried the G.U. games, the combat just wasn't fun to me anymore. Maybe it's because it's a stripped down version of the original with frills like the aforementioned team supers (called beast awakenings), rengekis, and the like. The goofy storyline and abrasive characters don't really help its case, either.
