Most of the younger kids I know like rap....that could be a big part of it too. It is more popular than ever to be a poser these days. Not that I don't like some rap, but I am sure you know the types I am talking about. 5'3" 125 lb 18 year old white kid high as hell, with a Backwards hat (sticker still on the bill), saying yo....and walking like he is reppin' the hood. Chavs to the english Posers to us. I don't know about where you are, but they are all over Michigan. I would hae to say that the commercialization of rock and roll also helped.

LOL, in all seriousness, I do really love rap. There's something about it that beats rock/r&b/punk .. I think I love it because it's a way to express one's self without needing anything else but a mic and a voice. There's no need to harmonize, no need to jam on a guitar, no need to do anything but flow. I never grew up with anything else but rap, my family had it playing all the time around the house. It grew on me, so I guess that's saying something. All this new stuff though (mainly the mainstream artists) have just given rap a bad name. Rap music is garbage to the eye of society now.

Great point dude. The thing is though, a lot of rap fucking sucks now, because so much stuff is just mainstream shit. There are always people who hate rap because they use their "degrading women/glorification of drugs/etc." defense, but I just like it cause it's the music man...just cause I just fucking love stuff from rappers like Mac Dre (R.I.P.) and things like that doesn't mean I at all support the things rappers talk about in songs...it's just the music.

There's this one person at my school who's in 7th Grade (so he's a year younger than me) who wears EXTREMELY saggy jeans, but you can't see that they obviously start at his ASS because his ass is covered by an even saggier jacket, he always tries to look hard with his facial expression, and he's just an asshole (and a dumbass). He is just a little white trash punk though.

English isn't his first language Elnino (< Irony), but I manage to understand him very well none the less. You just have to get used to that Spanish and Portuguese speaking people use the english language. They put the nouns and verbs in a different order than we do.
