Last semester(which was about February) I switched schools and tomorrow will be my first time hanging out with these guys that I met at my new school. We're going to a concert and I just hope it all goes well.

Majority? I'm pretty sure 100% of the people in the US who aren't deaf listen to music. And a majority don't listen to Fergie. Just like a majority don't listen to rap, and a majority don't listen to latin music, and a majority don't listen to rock.

Her being a "sex symbol" is the reason she and other artists get #1 hits anyway. That's how the industry works. Be pretty, sing, and you're a star. No actual music experience required. A lot of artists in the 60's, 70's and 80's were fucking ugly too. But nobody cared, because music is for listening, not looking at.
You must not be able to form your own opinion on what you like to hear if you accept every album being #1 as automatically good.
