Hello! I think I'm okay in posting this, as my intentions are not to break any copyright laws.

I am looking for information on picking up some DVD Burning software - does anyone have any reccomendations? I have an internal DVD + RW and was looking to transfer some of my video footage - family and vacation stuff - over to DVD - I use Pinnacle to do some editing and am happy with that program.

Also, am I legally able to make backup copies of my DVD media? I know with software you are able to, and with VHS, but there doesn't seem to be any programs out there with the old DVD XCopy capabilities? If it is legal to make a single backup, how do I go about doing that? Just rip to my hd and copy ot DVD?

Mods, if this is against your list, please just close the thread.

I've heard Nero is pretty good for burning DVD's, although I haven't tryed it out myself. As for ripping programs DVD shrink is pretty good.
