As for kreate a kombatant, you can create as many as you'd like but you'll have to create a new profile for each. At least, that's how it is currently. On the E3 demo units, no memory card is present so if you lose your match, the system resets the kombatant to the generic placeholder.

This is exactly what I was afraid would happen. Doesn't that mean for every created character I make, I'll have to unlock everything all over again?

When/are you going to do a similar video interview like gamespot's? I look forward to stuff like that, epsecialy because it will be with people who know a lot about MK. Unlike the gamespot guy.

I suppose the "one Kreate-A-Fighter per profile" deal is in place so that an extra step isn't necessary when you're on the character select screen. The extra step, of course, would be popping up a menu to select which custom fighter you wanted every time you selected Kombatant's square. But I think most of us want to make many custom fighters, and we don't want to be forced to make a new profile for each and every one.

So here's what Midway can do:
When you log in with your profile, you should be able to access a menu at that point to select which of your created characters you want to activate. The activated character would be the one you get when you hit the button on Kombatant's square. And it would stay that way until you log out or return to the main menu to activate a different character. That way, you can have many created characters on a single profile while sacrificing minimal simplicity.

Makes sense, right?
