And since it deals with my favourite sobject of free time, Warhammer of all things...
Low. LOW!

To quote the resolution:
"Games Workshop and EA are aware of the IP issues around the artwork in question, which have now been resolved," an EA representative told Kotaku. "The artwork was internal EA concept art that was unintentionally released publicly. No Warhammer 40,000 tanks have ever made an appearance in Command and Conquer Tiberium Alliances, and never will. Games Workshop and EA continue to have a strong relationship working together on Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning and the new free to play game Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes which just entered open beta."
Bullshit. That was a Baneblade tank, call it whatever you like. I am glad that this is resolved without conflict, as for one it deals with C&C;, and I love C&C; even the latest and most confusing one, second:
LET THE GALAXY BURN! I would not want even the possibility of harm for Games Workshop. It just shows how lazy and bankrupt EA Games is. And it seems it goes down all the way to the designers.

This sobject is breath-taking. What about the up-coming Command & Conquer: Generals 2? I have had some good times with the Tiberian series and Red Alert. Dune 2000 was an excellent strategy game in the 90's as well, but WestWood was just triumphant back then. As for the lack of creativity that EA is dealing with right now, they also recently made WH40K: Space Marine that resembled Gears of War big time (gameplay). Although, Gears of War originally resembled WH40K big time (visuals).

Here is the "burning" hot linkage for easier usage.

So they designed a tank that looks like another tank.
So what?!
Borrowing ideas is not something new in the gaming world. It's just a tank design, for crying out loud.

because EA is just a greedy underhanded corporation, and this is just more proof of it.

The only reason they get away with it is because people let them by buying their games. If they don't earn anything on their games, they won't be able to work and will eventually go bankrupt. If it is really such a huge problem, then why do people still support them by buying their games?
I don't disagree with EA being a fucked up company, but this is picking sandcorn in the desert. EA is not the only ones whose ever done something like this, in fact, Mortal Kombat started out as a fighting game full of characters which designs were taken from other places!

because there are always little whiny kids with parents that want to shut 'em up, and no matter how many people know of the problems, the children will whine.

Funny, that's how I see most of the people who complain about EA - as whiny children who just wants to put the blame on the bad guys and find everything they do to be evil. It's just business.

I actually meant that no matter who whines, there's always an obnoxious child oblivious to the problems of the company that will whine to get the game, but I agree about how I see them, and I kind of felt sad for BioWare when they announced the rerelease of ME3, because it made me realize that they finally caved.

Well, that expanded edition or whatever with the expanded ending. It could be considered a rerelease.

The ending expansion is going to be free and rereleasing an entire disc with just that add-on would be retarded. I don't find it plausible.

I meant the fact that they wouldn't stick with the original planned ending and made the expanded ending was kind of lame. Sure, maybe the ending made little sense, but they still caved, and now those fans of BioWare are going to think they can complain about whatever they want and get it... entitled pricks
