How you guys enjoying it. What are you currently watching. Were there any upsets you enjoyed etc. Discuss anything [that isn't MK & Injustice] Evo.
Was watching the Smash Bros Melee stream wasn't into it much. Then saw some Injustice fights that were somewhat decent. Liked that doomsday was getting some screen time.
Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 had some great fights. love that Morrigan is getting much respect. Wanted Luvcheese to win his fight but didn't happen.
Does anyone know if I missed the KOF matches. Because there schedule says its 2 - 4 but its still UMVC3.

I was back and forth on watching it, but decided to tune out because I couldn't stand listening to Tom Brady commentate. I decided to pass my afternoon getting some snes games and playing Killer Instinct.
I'll probably tune back in during the finals tomorrow to catch Killer Instinct. I want o see who else is announced.

While I've been against Capcom for the past year since all the BS with their various fighting games. The fact that ALL DLC costumes will be included in the upgrade for $15 seems worth the price alone IMO. Add in 5 new characters and 6 new stages, seems more than worth it for existing players.

They could just make a new Street Fighter altogether. Why keep wasting money upgrading the same game over and over?

All I have to say is...
Nintendo just beat Microsoft's speed record for fastest policy 180.

Because people keep buying it.

What really pisses me off is the copy and paste cast from SFXT.

They shouldn't make a new game because SF4 is still heavily played in the community. I appreciate the fact that they are adding new content that can essentially be plugged into the existing version of the game without having to buy an entirely new copy of the game.

It's been 2 years since Arcade Edition. There is absolutely no reason to keep milking the damn game. SF4 is heavily played sure, but SF5 would be just as heavily played if not more because it's actually a new game. And not just some Super edition.

That's because they attempted a new game, Street Fighter X Tekken and the community rejected it. Plus they are kind of caught between console cycles and I can understand not wanting to risk a new game and jumping platforms so soon. The fighting game genre is extremely successful right now, this gen on current platforms. If they jump to next gen systems with a new game the community would be small. killer Instinct is taking a risk in that regard.

Street Fighter X Tekken shouldn't impede the Street Fighter franchise. That was a one time thing.
As for the whole caught between console gens, there really is nothing stopping them from making SF5 a next gen game. The new SF4 is to be released in 2014, when next gen consoles already hit the market. They could've started development on SF5 if they hadn't been monkeying around with this new SF4.
As for KI, the risk is not because it's next gen. It's because KI is exclusive to Xbone. If it went Multiplatform I guarantee there would be hardly any risk at all. From the FGC anyway, not the nostalgia blinded fanboys of old KI.

I think your missing my point. Both current gen systems have huge user bases. Which fighting games benefit from. When i say they're stuck between console cycles, I mean they are unsure of what the adoption rate is going to be on next gen systems and are not sure if they should develop a new game for this gen or next gen systems
Do they develop SF5 for next gen systems, when the community might not be as big and the game might not have the same success as SF4? On the flip side, if they decided to develop SF5 for current gen system it would make addition to the game hard. Seeing as how almost all current gen fighting games have had several major additions it would be hard to develop SF5 for this gen and then shift it over to next gen as the community grows. Gamers have already gotten pissed at Capcom for releasing multiple copies of a game disk and there is no cross-play between the editions.
Add-on content for SF4 is the way to go IMO.

I'm not saying SF5 needs to come out when the new SF4 comes out. That would be too soon. What they should do is at least start development and release it mid 2015.

You guys see that annoying Athena player. Fireballs up the ass. The Elizabeth player was doing good until the Chin entered. Love that Mai finish. Also Ash almost made a comeback.
I noticed a lot of Kim, Mr. Karate, Iori, and Chin players.
My mains would be Ash/Kula/Mai, Duo Lon/Kim/Iori.

Nintendo tried to block Evo from streaming the Super Smash Brother gameplay. The community complained so much that Nintendo changed their stance within hours about letting Evo stream the game.

Beat me to it.
Anyway, I hope that the massive reception for Smash for Evo will make Nintendo think a bit more serious about SSB 3DS & WiiU. I would love to see that at Evo 2014. If not, there's still Apex.

Looking forward to KOF13 finals.
Wonder about the special presentations. Hope its about new game announcements like Darkstalkers 4, Capcom VS SNK 3, SF Alpha 4, SF EX4, new footage for Guilty Gear X3rd and footage of Tekken X SF. These are highly unlikely but I can hope.
Also since I'm in CT what's the time difference from Las Vegas. That way I can watch it.

Just finished watching KOF finals and it was great. Glad to see USA taking 1st. Reynolds came out victorious. Great matches. Last years winner came in 3rd which was a shock. Really wanted to see Mad KOF in the finals but it just wasn't his day.
Right now they will be streaming Smash Bros Melee if you guys are watching.
