Mortal Kombat is the only series I'm mostly familiar with. I remember Bloody Roar 2 having some cool moves.

Strider Hiryu's Ouruboros in MvC2.

The moves so cool that if your stupid opponent can't block the first hit, you can just mash every button and get an op combo.

Chun Li's Spinning Bird Kick and Cammy White's Cannon Spike.

Scorpion's spear is cool too.

Stryker's gun, it's quick and you can cancel it for mind games, plus I love guns.

Jade's Shadow flash also known as ghost on em.

1.) Kenshi's Tele-Flurry ( and his Blade Stab (or Turning Death) (B+2), though it isn't a 'special move')
2.) Sakura's Shunpu Kyaku. Really, really fun to abuse.
3.) Setsuka's Mourning Thrust (aB) or Winter Funeral (bA) ... those slide inputs are cool.

Captain America's Stars and Stripes move from MvC3

Mainly because of the way he shouts "FOR FREEDOM!" before doing it.

It is really a universal move in many games: 'walk forward'.

Heihachi's Raijin's Charge~Lightning Bolt move in Tekken 6. It's very satisfying to watch him charge up electricity in his body (to the max), cock his fist back, then step aggressively forward and straight punch the shit out of someone right in their mouth. Then after the punch, their body slowly crumbles to the ground, like they just lost the will to fight lol.

Even though the move is slow, it's unblockable, so if you time it right (or if your opponent is stupid enough to just stand there and take it), you get a nice clean hit and a free juggle opening to inflict even more punishment on him/her. Every time I hit someone with that move, I feel all warm inside, and can't help but to crack a wide ass smile (^_^)! lol

Realizes that the title is actually for fighting games, I apparently have missed the memo.

I guess my favorite move of all time has to be one of Marrow's specials in CvM2. The one where this giant spike just comes out of her back and it looks like she has a huge dinosaur tail whipping out. Never really understood why she's not a huge X-Men character.

And of course, in MK, Sub-Zero's Cold Shoulder. It was just an awesome move.

Perhaps i should think a bit more before answering, but right now i think it's Dairou's teleport in wich you switch positions. Don't ask me why, but i loved that move...and i don't even like Dairou!

Shit...you just reminded me of my other favorite move. Kazuya's Optic Blast. Freaking bliss, man! I'm an advocate of its usefulness. Computer never even considers it a threat, so you can use it in sticky situations. No one will believe me when I say this, but it helped me beat Gold Azazel. It's really useful for juggling him, because he keeps teleporting back. Plus, there's that factor of nostalgia because it looks just like Devil/Angel's laser from T2. I also can't help but think Kazuya is a total badass when he just moves his head away and then BAM, you're down.

mai Chou Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi it also known a super ninja killer deadly bee i think. get's me out of tough spots especially when im in a corner plus i can cancel out of it.

vemom web in marvel vs capcom series. it's quick and super effective.

i'no ik in guilty gear. so cool ghosts speakers bounce the opponnet around like a pinball machine while i-no rocks on.

I'm thinking Winter Funeral is probably my favorite fighting game move. I'm also fond of Setsuka's Breaking Wave/Island Divide moves..... Setsuka in general.
