Favorite Spot To Vacation?
I've always wanted to travel out of the country for some vacation. My spot would definitely be Italy. Trace back my Italian roots and see where we came from and such. That and I've always had such an interest in going over to Italy to try their food and take lots of pictures of buildings and all sorts of randomness.
If you guys traveled out of the country, where did you go? Did you have lots of fun? Why did you go? And if you've never been out of the country, well... where would you like to go if you had the chance to? Would this be your ideal spot for a vacation?

I enjoy vacationing in New Hampshire and Cape Cod each summer.
As far as places I'd like to go, I'd love to go Hawaii. I'd also like to go back to Italy myself. I've been there twice, but both times was spending time and visiting with relatives and I really didn't get to see what I wanted to. I could easily picture spending 3-4 weeks going over as a tourist and being able to visit everything I want to see. I'd also like to visit Greece (specifically Santorini and some of the islands) and Ibiza as well.

When I vacation, I go for the scenery. Wait, let me re-phrase that. I don't always vaction, but when I do, I go for the scenery. Stay thirsty my friends.
As far as out of country goes, I've only ever been to Canada, which was nice, but if I had my choice of going somewhere else, I'd probably go to Italy. I don't really have any Italian history to trace back. I just think Italy is cool lookin.
My most favorite place I have vacationed at was Colorado. The prettiest place I've ever seen. Not many places on Earth can top the scenery there.

On my couch. Period.
(mostly because I've never been on vacation)

Out of the U.S., I'd say Austrailia. I love Sydney and Tasmania is extraordinary. My roommates recently went to Machu Pichu (sp?) in Peru and they had an incredible time.
In the U.S., I'd say Lake Powell, Utah. Nothing makes you feel smaller when you're boating down the canyons without any contact to the outside world. Nothing makes you feel smaller than when it's absolutely dark- and I do mean absolutely- except for the amazing tapestry of the Milky Way that hangs above you.
Washington (state) is beautiful, as is California. I've actually been to a lot of the states and they're each beautiful in their own way.
There are many places on my "bucket list"- the English countryside, Botswana, Tanzania, Peru.
