Ford in trouble for leaked commercial...

Ford recently made a commercial that they said they would not air because it depicts a cat being decapitated by the sunroof of a car... somehow the commercial got leaked and has been all over the net and Animal rights groups and activists have been bombarding Ford with demands for an explanation... Ford says the commercial was made to be funny nad was computer generated and no animals where harmed in the commercial...

You obviously don't understand it. Go on tv and threaten to kill the president. Then when they throw your ass in jail, tell the judge you got the first amendment. Write me a letter from jail and tell me how that works out for you. The first amendment does not let you exress any idea freely. Other restrictions still apply. Know it before you quote it.

It's also the amendment that lets us say stuff like "F**k" and "c**ksucker" on broadcast teevision...

You can sometimes say those words on public TV but it depends on the context and reasoning.

I don't know whether they are really from Ford or not. There are groups which make fake commercials with tastless content, and then they try to pin it on a corp. Though it may really be from Ford- I don't know.

the commercial was produced at the Ford plant in Europe... It was confirmed that the commercial was made by Ford but was turned down when it was to be approved due to the reaction it would cause, but the commercial got leaked out on the net, its never been aired on television...

actually, we pretty much do have thr right to say anything we want. as long as their not fighting words, inciting a riot, vulgar, and there are one or two other restrictions, but i forget em.

No you have the ability (not right) to say anything and accept the outcome. If you know the laws then you know you can't say just anything. Other restrictions might be lying under oath, violating things like confedentiality agreements or other company signed waivers, you can't lie to the general public in a non-satirical form, I could go on forever. The 1st amendment is not freedom of speech. You can say whatever you please, but not freely without consequences.
