I decided to wait a while before posting this, but since nothing's changed, one of the following scenarios is taking place:

1)The mods simply don't care about Scott's thread and this one coexisting (THEY are working, since I saw Tampon close the religion thread).

B)Nobody but me cared enough to point this out.

III)Nobody saw the opportunity to do a threadjack (seeings as how this post will probably cause the thread to be closed). So since no one else did...

Oh no, I thank you for pointing it out. I'm quite glad someone noticed instead of, well what happened and others getting credit. But ay, said and done, oh well.

We rarely close the original thread on the topic out of respect the the author, which is evident if you view similar situations on the other forums. The topic was created first, so it cannot fall into the "don't create topics regarding similar subjects" rule.

Anyhow... I don't forecast this thread remaining on topic given the current subject, thus I shall close it.
