GameCube + 1080 Degrees Snowboarding + GCN broadband adapter. -- Update, I bought them now.. looking for players! =)
I have a GameCube, and I'm going to buy 1080 Degrees Snowboarding and a GCN broadband adapter next Monday/Tuesday.
I'm wondering, anyone have 1080, a GameCube broadband adapter, a reasonable connection to the internet and want to play me, online, (through WarpPipe) next week?
I've got a Cable connection (30KB/S upstream).
And if you can't, for some reason, did/do you have any experience already with WarpPipe and a NGC broadband adapter?
If so, I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Anyone's comments are appreciated.
Edit: I also have Mario Kart: Double Dash!!. I forgot it could also play online, heh.

I don't think either of those games are online compatable.

You're not familiar with WarpPipe?
I've been with them since Slashdot posted about them (long while ago).
Anyway, those games have LAN support, and WarpPipe makes it possible to play online with those.
WarpPipe (a program) will act as a "GameCube", and your GameCube will regognize it as such, enabling LAN play.
Then it will establish a connection to the program.
All you have to do then is connect WarpPipe to another WarpPipe server (i.e. your friend) and you can play against eachother.
Check out their site at http://www.warppipe.com/.
The current games that support online play are:
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
1080 Degrees Snowboarding
Phantasy Star Online (obviously)
Kirby's Airride (horrible game)

I would like to know what you were on when you decided to play that game
BTW Deadly Warrior, Agilo's right. Both games can be played on WarpPipe, and PSO is/was the only GC game that can be played online WITHOUT the WarpPipe program, but I may be wrong about this.

It was on a test-pod at a games-store.
I wanted to give it a try, seeming as though I kinda like race-games in general.
And yes, you're right, Phantasy Star Online is the only remaining game you can play online with, without WarpPipe.

I know the chances of a 3rd party game for gamecube going online are slimwhile its PS2 and Xbox counterparts do,but did you know that Splinter cell: PTfor gamecube willuse LAN! :D. So you might want to look out for that when usig warp pipe :.l

Silly Agilo, you can't bump your own threads
Anyways, the problem (I think) is that from what I understand, getting a GC Network Adapter is no easy task. I'll try to get one, and if I do, I'll borrow my bro's GC and I'll send ya a PM for some Mario Kart action, k?
