Its hard for me to say the thing i hate about Ign is that you can only view 4 videos a day.Gamespot you can view only certain video clips.Gamespot usually gives out lower scores then Ign.Right now im going with gamespot even though Ign updates more.So what do you guys think is more accurate on reviews and what site do you think is just plain better.
I prefer IGN for news and reviews (which are usually better detailed in the gameplay, sound, graphic, presentation, and replay departments), but Gamespot does have the largest assortment of videos, plus I think their site looks better. IGN, I guess, is my first choice.

I prefer using IGN. I go to IGN first and then to Gamespot.

gamespot, it has better things then ign, and now, gamespot is crossing into with gamefaqs i heard, so they should be better.

Gamespot is a lot better in my opinion because you can stream all the videos without paying for a subscription.

Both sites are slowly starting to suck.
I almost never go to them unless theres a link from this site saying theres new videos or screens there.
Other wise I don't bother.
I have Gamespot Basic... but even that only gets you so far.
First it was Gamespot selling out... Then IGN followed their act. It's all about money.

IGN
Gamespot is nothing more than a slew of fanboy garbage. I don't so much mind most of the content, even though IGN's is better; but some of their articles regarding the gaming industry are a total joke - especially their infamous BS article on the state of arcades, retarded.
Gamefaqs is even worse. If you want to learn the wrong way to play a fighter, then you'll jock those forums. Shit, their "faqs" aren't even good. I read three different Toshinden 3 faqs from that place, all of which contradicted each other and all were missing loads of info. Simple shit too, like being able to retain buffers on run, even some notation for canned spam was missing. -_-
Edit: Oh, yeah. If i'm not mistaken Gamepot used to be Nuke, which was essentially Gamepro. Back in the day I read some heated discussion concerning the fact that Gamepro stole some dudes Tekken 3 move faq, pubished it and didn't even give credit...yeah, it's right hear in front of me. Issue # 107, August 97. IGN steals stuff, too. But that's mostly media, not some dudes work.

Gamespot is more focused on games, while IGN is trying to be all over the place. But I do agree that they are both going downhill. Gamespot's downloading service is shit, their quality in streamed movies are shit, and the majority of the people on the forums are a bunch of n00bs who put shit on games without anything backing them up (especially MK).
IGN is retarded in their reviews. They discrimated The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay because "FPS's can't get high scores". That's whack. There have been many FPS's that have made their mark in this industry. DOOM, Half-Life, Quake, Unreal Tournament, the list goes on. They are blood suckers, you can't get any of the good features without being an Insider.
I have more respect for Gamespot, only because their editors (Well Greg and Jeff mainly) are more intelligable with what they say than IGN. Still, they have their flaws (Huge, I might add).

Ign, since to me ign has a better news and information layout than Gamespot.

Old Klingon Proverb? Help meh! I think that Gamespot is really great, and it's the only site I go to if there is new news and info on upcoming games (unless there's an official site, silly). The site is organized and pleasing to the eye *like MkO ^_^* The dark background with oranges and reds make website really good, when they are used mostly to read, and think alot. So kudos to whoever designed this one !!! And kudos to whoever designs Gamespot!!!! Don't add anymore lighter colors!
