Habits you have while getting your game on; annoying, funny, or other wise ridiculous.

I was just sitting back, pondering upon all the various character traits we as humans exhibit; in more of a humorous manner than serious. Then I started thinking about all the nuances that come about while I'm gaming. I just couldn't help but be like "dude, you're a NOOB!!" tongue

Firstly, I hum...a lot, when I play. Hhhmmmmmmmmm...hhmmmmm......hhmmmmm, GAH!! I hate when I catch myself doing that crap. -_- It annoys the hell out of my folks, roomates and friends love giving me a hard time about it and I'm always worried that I'll do it in public one day, like while in the arcade or at EB playing a demo or something.

What's even worse is that I have "gears." I'll start out with a little...hhhmmmm, then it will gradually rise in volume as the intensity of play increases. Hmmmm....Hmmmmmm......Hhmmmmm!!! -_-

Thank goodness I DON'T do that crap in public, considering that at least half of my gaming is arcade based. But that doesn't stop me from entertaining there, either.

I have a...ritual, if you will. Whenever someone comes up and pops in their .50 cents to play me I always, ALWAYS step back from the cab, walk a few feet away from it, just look at the ground, wipe my hands off on my pants and act like I'm looking for somebody. Then I return back the cabinet.

I have time to do this because I usually pick the character first, considering I'm usually playing a noob who tries to counter character me, but I don't give a shit about that stuff. So after they're done acting like they know tier match ups I go MvC2 style smashing on the buttons to skip the intro...which is another retarded behaviour. I'm not going to make it go any faster than if I just try to skip the intro once. Once the match is setting up and all that jive I do 360 rotations with the joystick, THEN, when the match starts I act normal. tongue

Anywho, just wondering what other habits peeps have while playing VG's. Peace and love ya'll.

I have to have a package of chewy chips ahoy to snack on whenever I get a new game and play it for the whole night.
I also twirl the controller around while loading screens appear onscreen.

Wheneva I'm playin VG's, I'm ALWAYS standing up and standing pretty close to the screen as well as having a need to tap every damn button on the controller at least once. LOL pretty damn sad...tongue

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Well, I sometimes ask myself, "what am I thinking?" when I'm trying to solve a puzzle or whatever. I know I have an idea of how to sovle something, but I think too far ahead sometimes I can't focus on one thought. It's kinda wierd. tongue

I always crack a small smile when Im close to beating someone in a game.It gets on my cousin's nerves alot of times when I do that.

Since I usually only play fighting games, if I win, I get happy, if I lose, I slap the person I'm facing. One time I slapped my brother so hard he passed out. Oh well, maybe I like winning too much. Winning is good... yeah.

I also have a habit to stand up when things get intense. I just get into it, I guess. Games are fun to play, lol.

when i loose or die i curse and throw the controler or smash it and i break stuff smash my fist and curse some more my gf realy hated it and so does everyone else!!! did i mention I FUCKING CURSE realy loudly

i usually only play games in where you kill people, yeah, but, it seems, for each type of game, i have different things...

when i play castlevania's, i sometimes get this twitch in my head, ya know my head just shakes violently sometimes, usually when my hp is down in the 200's.

when i play grand theft auto's, when ever i start going on a killing spree and i get killed (this happens often in gta:vc when im going on my own killing spree with the hunter and i blow up one of the palm trees and im too close, right), i say, rather loudly, "FUCK!!!!!!!!!".

when i play mortal kombat, and im getting really close to beating a character i dont like (ya know, +75%) and then, they get they're second fucking wind and beat the shit out of me, i throw the fucking controller into the fucking wall!!!

when i play syphon filter, whenever i lose all of my armor and going into my health, i become extremely pissed, start cussing out everyone i kill, and, eventaully when i win, i say, very loudly "FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!".

yeah, im very fouled mouthed, but, thats just me!

I have a couple of strange habits. There was a time when I was doing the AI system in VF4 and I'd seriously be talking to the character as I was watching him fight in a match. Playing AVP 2 on PC I started making the noise of the alien when I played as it or the Predator if I had chosen him. Other than that if I'm playing on one player game I usually enter a trance state of absolute silence. In a two player, particularly fighting game, I can get pretty crazy as I begin to maniacally laugh when I'm winning, which is a good deal of the time.

i cant keep a straight face when i keep on beating someone. Then they always get pissed. I also tend to scream out loud and stand up wen itz getting close in a sports game...but only in my house of course. In the arcades i just look at the person im facing once and just keep 1 face going on. Then if i win and the person sucked real bad i give them my face saying "wut the hell were u doing" and if i lose i curse underneath my breath and walk away.

When i first got my sega when I was about 5 and plugged in Sonic 2, whenever I let my friend play he would mimmick what was going on screen, Jump when Sonic jumped, move his head in the direction he was going, etc. Very Humurous. My worst habit is trash talking, I pump it out really bad.

I tend to always try the flashiest route/moves ect, even though i KNOW it's going to cost me the game, which is why i suck at most 2p games.

Seams like a lot of cursing and violent peripheral manupilation is common among the MKO users. grin I usually don't swear THAT much, oddly. When I do, however, it's random. Like, I'll be totally calm, various missfortunes will be acuring then I'll just be like "well WTF!!" Then I'll get calm again, lol.

This only happens when I'm playing my Xbox but when a game is loading I kind of rub the little rubbery Xbox logo in the center of the controller with my thumb. I don't even think about doing it, I just do lol. It's kind of creepy now that I think about it.

I get very involved, swear, and get tension headaches. Also, whenever my game is ruined by an NPC, i go well out of my way to completely annihilate them.

I just talk to the caracter i'm facing at that time. In mk for instance... When the computer tries to combo me and i block his attack, i say to that caracter; "you missed me, bitch". Always something different, mostly cool movie quotes.

Besides cranking up some good fight music, it usually depends on the type of game. If i'm playing a FPS, for example I sometimes scream "OH JIHAD!!!" after scoring a headshot or annihilating people in a giant explosion.

But, in most games, I simply yell "OH SNAP" whenever I totally dominate.
