Are there any plans to the series? Is it going to retire? Will they make a new Half-life called Half-Life 3?
Anyone with answers about what the makers of this franchise have said, I would really appreciate it.

There will be a Half-Life 2: Episode 3, not sure when I heard it's supposed to come out though. As for Half-Life 3 I think I read some where that this Half-Life Episode series is being considered Half-Life 3, it's just being broken down into smaller pieces, rather than being released as 1 big game.

That's retarded, I thought the series suppose to be Half-Life 2 broken down on multiple discs. They should be called Half-Life3. If this is the case, then the developer have fucked up the title, the newer gamer are not going to know that they have been playing Half-Life 3 the whole time. I can't stand it when developers do that.

Already disproved.
HL3, unless it revolutionizes FPS or game mechanics again is going to be the enxt Duke Nukem Forever.

I think Gaben was pretty clear on this subject. No Half-Life 3 until Alf is back on the air with a 10 season contract and guaranteed guest appearances by Norm MacDonald.

I'm not sure there has ever been a point in time when this was more plausible. Does Netflix count?

Yes, but not Hulu or Amazon
