btw uv only been playing for 8 months n u think u can play anything... thats really good if its true... iv been playing for 2 years im just getting good @ playing some solos

I would like to know about this too. I don't play guitar, but I am interested. The closest I got to playing a guitar was when we had to play some 80's rock song (I don't remember it) in band. I was a clarinet. :P

to be honest to me there isnt any hard songs to play, but then again ive been at it for 6 years (no brag intended :P) I usually just make my own stuff up...

Try some solos from Van Halen or Motley Crue has some pretty fast ones, Zakk Wylde's Ozzy songs can hurt your fingers some, I'm sure

ive been playing for a year and a half and i really cant find any rock songs that are very hard to play. I dont think that it even matters how long youve been playing. If anything id have to go with a metallica solo but those arent even that hard if you take it at the right pace of learning. Ive been trying to play other types of music like reggae which is easy as hell and jazz which isnt that hard but its more fun that playing any rock song. In fact i like to combine traditional acoustic with some power chords, play some chords reggae style and the play a jazz type solo. Thats the best combination ever!

Try some Dream Theater solos...

Or if you really want to have a chalenge, you can always try to play statovarius' Holy solos, Speed of light, stratofortress or find your own voice.

If you manage that, then why not try some other...

try pretty much any of the Rhapsody songs (solos done by Luca Turilli)

You also go for the classic Hangar 18 solos or the tornado of souls solos.

kiss' black diamond is hard for me to play for some reason..as for solos, ace's shock me solo (live version from kiss alive II) is just crazy.

Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, Dimebag Darrell,Malmsteen, Marty Friedman and Dave Mustaine. Try some solos that these guys have written and im sure that if u have only played guitar for 8 months u won't be able to play them, at all. Even rhythm guitar parts such as Megadeth, Iced Earth, Iron Maiden etc. are pretty hard to play to a tee for even advanced guitarists.

Wow, the only two things I heard from any of you were Joe Satrianni and Steve Vai... I love heavy metal and play it all day long so most of the people you listed I can play most of their songs, I can play most of Metallica's songs, including solos, as much of a psycho I think Kirk Hammet is on guitar, the more you work on it the better you get, I know it doesn't seem that easy but play it extremely slow at first then play about .5 times faster and after a couple hours their easy!

except for The Glorius Burden, every song on it is easy to play... as for Satch, ive always been a big Satch fan but most of his stuff is easy to play if u have ur scales down...
