Okay, so I bought a network adapter preplayed...I screwed it into the back of PS2 and i hooked a cat5e up from internet thingy to PS2. It didn't come with a starter disc! Do I need one? Will I still be able to play online games? Do I need to go back to EB and ask for a start-up disc for free? HELP

Yes you have to have the startup disk to play online. It gives you an account on your ip address. I would definately go back and ask for a startup disk. Because without it, you won't be able to do anything.

If it was me I definately would. But you say you bought it preplayed so it may have said 'AS IS' on the box or 'No Manual' like some used games come. I would definately try tho cuz you won't be playing online anytime soon if you don't get one sad

Yeah, I would take that the startup disk be a must with the package...you can't play without it.
