I would say, to make sure you download all the updates/patches for the game. Even prior ones if you are going from SSF4 to USF4.

I would assume you are probably missing this update: SSF4 Update kit, but check to make sure you have all of them, including costume compatibility packs.

On the options screen you can choose what version you want to play (Ultra, Arcade Edition, or Super) assuming you have downloaded the Ultra patch.

I was under the impression that he should already have it installed, since it's an auto prompt when the game starts up. It's not an update like the update kit.

I guess as a last resort, you should go into the systems storage and delete all the updates for super street fighter 4 (leave the ultra street fighter 4 content and any costume packs) and then start the game up and let it prompt you for the ultra update again.

I contacted Microsoft support and was just told to reinstall it. That worked.
