Sounds cool but I dont know about the mod thing though, It could work.

the idea is half good, half bad.

its good for the thought of member of the week.

but bad for members to become moderators, who knows what might happen, for example, like siduu's post, they could easily give them self enough dragon points to become a shadow priest which is a sub-mod.

so, i have to say both yes and no to such an idea.

but think of all the power u can have!!

Personally I think is better to Earn the power! but that's just me though.......... Power isn't everything.

im already a mod on a different forum, theres not much more power for mods then there is for members, for the exception of closing/deleting threads/posts and handing out skull/dragon points, so whats really the point? if you want a high rank, just go for warrior, skilled warrior, champion, flawless champion or shadow priest, but modship comes very rarely.

We have to make the person a mod? Uh, no. That's not gonna happen, and that "thousand dragon points" comment is just one of the reasons why.

And if you want this idea to even be considered, there's a feedback post near the top of the forum. E-mail the suggestion.

I'll leave this open for now for user feedback on the idea.

Member of the Week sounds good. But mod for that week...eh....it could get VERY hellish if the power is given to the wrong hands, but if it's just member of the week, then yeah, it sounds good.

Excluding the "make 'em a mod for a day" part, I think it's a pretty good idea.

The one thing I'd add is that there should be a "X Formum Member of The Week", that way Fan Art would have one, MK:D would have one, etc...

Then you'd get people "Whoring" specific forums, and we'd see even more Spam...

A member of the week thing could work, but then some would see that as being a popularity contest sort of thing unless it were done in a totally random or scripted way.

Perhaps member of the milennium. Winner is announced New Year's eve, 2999.

But doesn't that happen already? I can't speak for anybody else, but I spend 100% of my time on this site in THIS forum (not saying that I should automatically be this one's winner; at the same time, not sure if anybody else flat-out deserves it either). As for the other forums, from what I've heard, finding someone making quality posts/threads in the MK:D forum truly deserves some recongition. And as for Fan Art, from what I understand/expect, it's sort of the other way around. Plenty of quality threads/posts, but finding that one person that stands out should be rewarded in a way.

Apply the above to the others and organize it extremely well and I'd say it could be a good experiment.

Good idea, except for the mod part. A member of the week feature sounds coola nd would be nice to see although it'd be difficult to vote as not everyone posts everywhere on the site and so only see a minority of peoples posts.

The mod idea is bad, for all the above mentioned reasons.

Like Jonin said ppl would spam every forum, and there would be posts like 'I deserve to be the user of the week jajajaja', hell I see it already in this thread.

Perhaps after Deception comes out, and we have online clans (you know it's comin) and strategy discussions, that is when/where we can have a user of the week, in the MK:D board.

Too much hassle involved right now tho, especially if there was one in each forum. Jonin better put on an extra pot of coffee for this one..
