Well since Bush going to war is a farce, and since we don't have time machines, let's just all celebrate this holiday the way it was meant to be.

This day isn't to bash presidents or bitch about false wars, this day is dedicated to the men and women who served to give us the freedom to bitch about Bush on an MK forum.

Today is about all those who have died or served in our many previous wars. We should all be thankful, we owe them more then our gratitude.

Yes, Memorial Day is about honoring those who fought and died for freedom, but the reason I posted this is because I think it's an insult to the aforementioned heroes that someone who was AWOL has sent American soldiers to fight and die for lies.

Well that's a pretty big generalization. Not everyone over there wants us dead, nor are all of our troops doing "all they can" for their benefit. Like I said before, remember Abu Ghraib? We've killed three times the number of Iraqi civillians as Americans were killed by the 9/11 hijackers (none of which, mind you, was Iraqi). If we just bombed them, do you know how we would look in the eyes of the world? And don't say "who cares what they think about us," because it WILL have severe repurcussions. We have enough people who hate us already, and it was people who hate us that were responsible for 9/11.

Just wondering, who is this "we" that you keep mentioning? The army perhaps, because if this is who you speak of, either you're an army man or you don't know what the hell you're talking about. I doubt your out there seeing what they're seeing, if you would, you'd see that "we" aren't exactly saints either. Not everyone in Iraq hates us. In fact it's a small portion of Iraq's population, quit judging the people of Iraq as a whole just because of the terrorists out there. If you ask me I think you're rather selfish thinking about America and only America.

Think of it this way, how would you feel if you were born in Iraq and saw Americans saying they wanted to "drop an A bomb" on your country and kill hundreds if not thousands of innocent people, your family, your friends, yourself, how exactly would you feel? I'm tired of seeing Americans like myself constantly bursting at anger at every Iraqi in the world and making us Americans look bad.

As for Bush, I think he should make a speech to honor those who have fought and died in war.
