Turn your head to the left really fast, then try the right.

Is it just a kink or is there a lump or something like that?If there is a lump go to the doctor,I had one last year.

Aside of having it massaged as others have said already, try buying and applying a Deep Heating Rub to it, the heat should take the pain and aching away...if it doesn't then a Chiropractor would be your best bet, or local physician.

If you can leave this gay shit aside, I'll share with all of you the Ultimate Solution for neck problems...

-Stand in front of a mirror.
-Tilt your neck all the way to the left.
-Tilt your neck all the way to the right.
-Repeat above steps until your neck makes no more noise.
-Tilt your head back and front multiple times.
-Hear comes the gruesome part:
Put your right hand on the back of your head and the left hand on your chin;
TWIST your head to the left as far as you can ! CRRRRRRRRACK !
Now, TWIST it to the right as far as you can ! CRRRRRRRRRRRACK !
-Rotate your head clockwise and counter-clockwise multiple times.

That should do it...

What's so gruesome about cracking one's neck? It's completely natural and can even be done hands-free ^_^ Works wonders, I tell you. And for stubborn ones, a little massage above the area can bring it to its senses.

Also, try sleeping with your head at an angle opposite the kink, IE, stretch it out. It could be nerves getting constricted and or pinched, so a little stretching can go a long way.
