I have to take a break from here for a while.

The thing is this...early this morning, One of my closest friends, Charlie, attempted to commit suicide...We have been close friends since the second grade. And last night we had a rather nasty fight...and while I know that's not ALL of what's bothering him...I definitely think it was his breaking point, you know that last little push over the edge. So I'm kind of a basketcase right now. It's gonna be quite a while before I can forgive myself for figting with him and possibly pushing him to this. But this isn't about me, it's about Charlie...He's resting comfortably in the hospital now, his parents are there. So I have to stand beside him now until I know he's ok, that's why I won't be around. There's a LOT of things we have to sort out and I don't know how long it's gonna take...could be a few weeks...could be over a month, I can't really place a time frame on it. The fact is I feel partly responsible and I have to find a way to deal with that. So this matter needs my complete and undivided attention. I will probably be around tonight...incase those that I talk to frequently wanna talk to me before I go. I WILL be back...just don't know when.
Smoke and Rabid...Take good care of the Tournament Story thread alright? When I get back I hope to see some great matches!
And Ty..I know your not on now...So I will be on at MKA early in the morning about the time your on..cause I know your going to want to talk to me.

Yo doode. You gotta girst take care of yourself and that's perfectly fine! And beating youself up about what happened isn't healthy, but it's understandable what you're going through. What is healthy is for you to stay by your boy and help him get through this episode and support him if he were to seek some sort of counseling. Like you said, it wasn't ALL you, so it would seem that you friend's got some issues to deal with.
Don't attribute his actions to whatever you two fought about. If you feel that he was pretty close to the edge already, then it's logical that if it wasn't you, it would have been someone or something else. Guilt on any level may not always be nessecary, but it's what your felling now, so while you're gone drink some tea(Japanese Green Tea or Earl Grey), patch up things with your homie, be by his side, and see that you take care of yourself too!
Believe me man, the tea helps. Especially when you add lemon juice!
